I liked that it fit

Installed in a 2015 X166 GL450 Mercedes-Benz, 3.6L V6 Twin Turbo. Engine uses 2 of these filters. Once the main air intake is disconnected, removing the engine cover and removing the 4 screws on each air cleaner cover (ya, it's kinda of pain) you finally have access to each filter. These filters are exact fits. I replaced OEM filters with these and I can't really tell whether the OEM'S have any more filtering media than these filters or not. I plan to leave these in for about 10 months, pull them and inspect (probably replace them no matter what they look like).

It was time for some replacement air filters. A lot of them are sold individually, but the car requires two filters. I wanted a set. No reason to spend any extra money for a paper filter. The price was right, the fitment was good. The filter media is not as dense as the original Mercedes filter, but it’s plenty sufficient to protect the engine. Overall, very happy with my purchase.

It’s a perfect fit for 2017 GLS 450. It is an easy replacement, probably less than 5 mins job. Each side the cover has star bits, 4 each. Two on front and one each sides. Side screws may be difficult to remove as there is no space above so you will need angled or flexible bit attachment.Let’s see how long these last.The way Mercedes GLS inside the hood is designed for the easy access, most maintenance services can be done DIY such as engine oil change, Cabin filter, engine filter etc.
