Whirlpool12002193 Water Valve Kit, White

This water valve was an exact replacement for mine. And since this one is brand new, the water line connections did not leak like my old one. It did not fix my problem, however. If you are looking to replace your valve because water is not flowing out of your water spigot or into your ice maker, check the temperature setting on your refrigerator. My temperature setting dial is in the freezer and it had gotten bumped to max cold. The water lines were freezing. I dropped the temperature a bit, and THAT fixed my problem.

Like another reviewer, replacing this valve did not solve my no ice problem. Kitchenaid (Amana) bottom freezer model- temp knob in freezer got bumped to max cold and tube where water enters icemaker froze up. Turning the temp back down does not solve the problem once frozen- need to thaw with a blow dryer. Works fine now that temp is set to normal.

This valve was an actual OEM part from Whirpool and was the exact replacement for the secondary water valve in my Kenmore Trio bottom freezer refrigerator.

Water was leaking. This thing fixed it. Tough to put in, but it works.

Easy to install and worked perfectly, saving an expensive service call.

Good replacement but had to drill extra hole for mounting. Has worked well for a year so far.
