General Motors GM Genuine Parts TR7 Fuel Tank Sending Unit Lock Ring

Sounds simple, perfect fit.So many times these days we can’t say that.I don’t know if it’s people don’t do the research it takes to get it right (by people I mean consumers) or they have bad luck. A couple of times that I had wrong product it was my fault. I order a lot off of Amazon and I can only remember one time that my product didn’t arrive on time and come to find out the truck was stolen that had my stuff on it.Quit blaming others for your mistakes!!!!

This was a perfect replacement for my 2004 Buick Le Sabre Custom fuel tank lock ring. The old one was rusted and took some penetrant and a little banging with a non-spark producing hammer and punch, but this installed quite easily.

Sealed up the gas hole on top of the tank. No more air leaking out and the check engine light along with the check gas cap message are gone. Great deal!

This ring doesn't come in the fuel pump/sending unit replacement parts & it should. I had to bend the tabs on the old one to get it off. Even though I straightened it out it didn't fit correctly & had a very small leak/seepage of fuel after a fill up. Once I put the new one on, no more leak.

Item: ACDelco TR7 GM Original Equipment Fuel Tank Sending Unit Lock Ring.This is an OEM ACDelco part. It is painted black. Assume to prevent rust. Better than bare metal. Real part. Good price. Suggest borrowing or find someone that has something similar to the GM star removal tool for getting the old lock ring out. Of course, there is always a hammer and screwdriver!
