Vedoneire Mens Padded Field Wax Jacket (3051 Black) Cotton Waxed Winter

I tried the L (41-43) and the XL (44-46) and found that both jackets were ill-fitting, but in different ways. The L was kind of tight and constricting while the XL was baggy and tented out in the back. I am fairly standard 44R, with a 35/36 waist and found that I was in between both sizes. Another sticking point was the odd placement of the zipper pull. Contrary to most items marketed in the US, this jacket has the pull on the opposite side of the coat – like a woman's coat – much handier if you are left-handed, which I am not. I really wanted to love this coat, and while the L fits better than the XL, it looks like both are going back.

Needed something to wear over my delicate down mid-layer jackets and couldn't afford hard-shell coats or Sherpa guides. Perfect choice. Rugged, waxed-cotton, thoughtful layout of pockets and stitching. Comparable to, but cheaper than, Barbour et al and less flashy. I'm a 44 regular and the XL fits great. Just enough room for a shirt and mid-layer. My only gripe is that they lowered the price 50 bucks after I ordered it. Recommended.

I also own non-insulated model and even tried a Barbour, and I think the fit is much better. Great value for money. I was actually disappointed with the Barbour in fit and smell, and feel of their coat.

Great coat -- warm, stylish, fits as expected. I'm a 40 regular and a medium fits me well. Originally ordered a large and returned it.

I was encouraged by this jacket, and excited to get it. However when it arrived it was too tight - seemed like a EU size.
