Fixed candles for wicks I burned incorrectly & best to use instead of snuffer to put out flame
Because I burned candles without taking proper care in the past, including mindlessly putting out the flame by blowing on it (til now that I know better), I used this great repair tool to scrape out the inside of my candles (about 3" diameter x about 4 " high now) and get the hidden wick up from the wax to work again, hence rehabilitating 3 similar candles in a few minutes each. I just suggest that you do it over a wide bowl, because it got all over my table, and when I tried to push it off with a wet paper towel, the table got waxy and took some time to wash with hot water a few times. The right way to put out a candle flame is just to dip the wick in the melted wax, and this tool serves that purpose too, but you just have to use the other side instead. It is so easy, that I cannot understand why I was even told to get a snuffer, because even though they are better than blowing out candles, they cause a grey-black smoke to come up, which I heard over time can cause stains on your ceiling or walls. From now on, once I am finished using my candles, which I believe are from organic soy and essential oils, I am switching over to using pure honey beeswax candles from purebeeswaxcandles dot com because these candles smelled and burned better than any candles I ever had, and this company always helped me to work properly with candles (even tho I clearly did not listen to them at first), and Pat Cattermole is the sales person and blogger, and her blogs on everything you really need to know about candles are amazing!!! When she told me how to repair my wicks, I told her I already used this Wickman tool successfully. She made me realize that next time I should save any of the wax I chip away (even more of a reason to put it in a wide bowl), so that I can put the chips slowly back into the melted wax, a little bit at a time. She also taught me that I could use this tool on my 3" x 4" candles in order to bring the edge of the candle down so that I could see the wick/candle flame (I also mushed some of it down with my hands), which she told me would not become hidden if I burn it for 3-5 hours.Amazing how a little seemingly nothing tool can really work :)

Excellent tool
I burn jar candles every day, and often have to fiddle with the wick or the wax to keep a candle burning/melting properly. I use this tool frequently for nudging the wick toward the center, scooping out debris floating in the wax, scooping out some solidified wax., and poking a hole In solid wax to insert a wick. It works to extinguish a flame by pushing the wick into the wax. It’s well-crafted, sturdy. Great value for the money. Great gift for a candle lover.

Excellent! Multiple uses!
I love it! I use the rounded edge to dig out buried wicks without worrying about cutting them. I use the other end to take out pieces of black soot that have fallen into my candle to keep them looking clean. It’s made very sturdy. I’ve been using it for months! I don’t know how I lived without this handy little tool!

Good tool for candles.
It’s a good tool for candles. It works for its intended purpose, but I wish the entire tool wasn’t hollow. It feels sturdy, and definitely won’t bend through regular use. Overall, a good product, but I’ll probably buy just a wick dipper separately.

Excellent tool for people who burn candles frequently
This tool has one end that can be used to dip the candle wick into the wax to extinguish it without smoke. The other end is rounded which is good at scooping out wax to "recover" wicks or fix inconsistent burn areas in the wax. It's a sturdy tool and good length for most candles.

MUST HAVE FOR ALL CANDLE CONNOISSEURS!
Could not live without and could not burn my candles down correctly without this awesome little tool! A must have for any candle connoisseur! Saves wax on candles that did not burn down like they advertise and best part is being able to rescue a lost wick in candles that have hardened over it! This is my second one in about 5 years, not because it went dull, but because I've recently lost mine. Bought one for my BFF and waiting on her review too!

Useful, takes a second to get used to
Nice looking tool that is a little weird to use at first, but works well because it helps scrape and push wax residue down the side of a candle after you finish a burn. This helps to maintain a clear glass and clear future burns. It also digs out candle wicks without making a mess. I had to read the instructions to understand it but once I did I appreciated the usefulness.

Works well for an unintended purpose.
Using this to scrape wax from tapers to put in candle lighters. Does a good job of removing wax without tearing up the wick inside.
