Journey To Joy: Inspiring Stories of Women Who Follow Their Hearts To Live in a Place of Joy

I am sorry to say that I was disappointed. The women's individual stories were interesting and compelling, however I felt somewhat cheated because I perceived that utimately the alterior motive was to market and promote the writer's "wares". Great title.

Now we learn how a "Compilation" book can be pretty worthless (even if the marketing technique gets it to be a "Top Seller" for a few days). Two friends had submissions, and their stories were fine. Most of the others were extremely similar: A. Woman has traumatic sad experience, B. pulls herself up by her bootstraps, and C. is convinced (and trying to convince others) she's now on her True Path (many as "Life Coaches"). A few stories were offensive to me, like the one having elective mastectomy to avoid the possibility of MAYBE having cancer some day (how about instead avoiding environmental toxins and refraining from eating cancer-nurturing foods?) - and that now she happily counsels other young ladies on this "option". Shudder! This book convinced me that it can be worthwhile to warn people to avoid Compilation Books - both as a contributor and as a buyer. So what if you're a published author whose book was #1 on Amazon for 3 days, if (when someone buys the book) the book is hideous? Editing was extremely uneven, grammar sometimes abominable... yuck!

The ladies stories helped me to release some old sadness that needed healing.The stories were inspiring and heartfelt.Excellent!Jisele Tuuri

Was surprised by some of the stories and what the message they seemed to relay my husband put his hands on me but bought me a big house so I stayed not the best book sorry ladies

As a busy woman I love the fact that I can pick up this book and be moved by each short story in it. When I first got the book, I opened it to one of the stories in the middle and it made me laugh and feel inspired. The next chapter I randomly opened to and read tugged at my heartstrings. Whether you read it front to back or open at random, this book is a keeper!

Glean inspired wisdom, feel your heart, and revel in joy as you read the myriad of stories from courageous women. My life is enriched through their stories and my guess it yours will be too.

Sue Urda and her co-authors have hit a home run with this book. It's a book filled with emotionally engaging stories that call the reader back home to a deep core sense of life's possibilities. A wonderful gift.
