Keeps water hot and easy to dispense
I previously had a different make of push-down style airpot/pump flask which was quite hard to push down. The reason for replacing that one was that after 7-8 months of daily use, it lost its vacuum and the water didn't stay hot. This flask is stylish and the pump leaver makes it very easy to dispense water. You can choose to keep the leaver up or down between dispensing water. I prefer to leave it up, ready to use. When the flask is full, a mug will take one or one and a little bit of pumps to fill a standard 250ml mug. As the water level gets lower, it does take more pumps. Towards the end, it takes 4-5 pumps, but that's to be expected with any pump flask. It keeps water hot for at least 12 hours. Probably longer, but I've used all the water within that time. I drink plain hot water or black tea, and for at least 6-7 hours it's too hot to drink the water straight from the flask. After that, it does lose a little heat, but that is because there is less water in the flask. If it was left full, it would keep the temperature longer. Even so, it's still hot enough to make a hot drink, but more the temperature is similar to if you added cold milk to the drink.I often see people complaining on flask reviews (all flasks) about water not being hot enough to make tea. Kettles boil at 100C. Black tea should be made with water at 90-98C but white and green teas between 70-85C, so you don't need the water to be kept at boiling if you're making tea.I'm very happy with this flask and hope it lasts longer than my previous (different make) flask. I shall update this review if anything changes.

Basically a large urn
Bought this as a possible way of saving energy usage by filling it up in the morning thus avoiding kettle use throughout the day. It holds about two full kettle fulls and I've found it stays hot enough for a tea/coffee for about 10 -12 hours.Would advise to fill with hot tap water to start with and leave to stand for ten minutes to create the thermal effect - I then use the tap water to wash the breakfast dishes so it's not wasted before filling it up.Very easy to use and keep clean - I live in a hard water area so descale it with distilled vinegar once a week.Definitely worth the investment. My husband drinks coffee like it's his last day on earth but he's not managed to drain it completely yet!

Not the easiest to use with a disability
I bought this for my elderly mum to use as she has dementia and was struggling to use the kettle etc and I asked her carers to fill it twice a day. Until you are used to the mechanism even for myself it was a bit confusing as the pumping handle lies flat and as you lift it away from the pot a small flap of plastic hinges down and slots into a groove, allowing the sea saw effect of the subsequent pump action. What I'm saying is the lever to pump the tea out isn't permanently up (as in the picture) so if you are buying this for folk with a disability affecting their hand use or, like my mum, dementia/ processing issue you need to take this into account. As we say in Scotland it's "footery".The carers have all reported that the tea is warm but not hot when they go in and this is only 5 hours apart, so it doesn't stay drinkable hot for long. Saying that maybe it's expected that you would fill it with black tea and coffee and add the milk after it's in the cup. I'm not sure, but I can say I've made hot milky tea in it and it's not hot all day.Cleaning is another difficult task. The entire lid doesn't come off just a circle in the middle of the lid. Maybe im just a bit of a clean freak but I worry about not being able to get into it all after it's had milk in it all day.Would I recommend this? It's unfair to say no because if I'd a business and was serving coffee at fast pace it would be ideal, it's large and hot on the spot. Just not a flask for use with the more vulnerable folk.

Unfit for purpose
We bought this item for our office in November 2024 and although it worked well initially, it has now stopped keeping water hot enough which makes it completely unfit for purpose. The returns window has also closed so we're unable even to raise an issue with the Seller to give them the opportunity to resolve this issue. All in all, very disappointing - particularly as we are a small charity with lots of volunteers and limited funds to waste on things like this that were supposed to make our lives easier.

Keep the water hot all day.
Lovely, like being in a hotel, looks smart, much better than the Thermos we were using.

Only lasted a month of continuous usage
Keeps liquids both hot and cold very well and is easy to use but after using it almost continuously for a month (up to 2 fills a day) the pump head broke (the plastic lever that applies pressure to the bellows snapped at the point just after the hand lever notch).Ordered a new one to replace it with a view to repairing the other one in time, but I would question the statement about durability in the Amazon page for the item.

A Wonderful Device
I bought this some months ago and I've given it time . It holds more hot water than my kettle can produce and it keeps that water hot overnight or most of the day, though I still need to give a cup of tea a minute in the microwave. Still. It's useful as anything. Very pleased with it.
