This was a must have for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I replaced my camshaft & lifters around 8 months ago, thus I had to put a new timing chain kit on at that time. What I didn’t realize was those aftermarket parts I bought were nothing, but cheap Chinese plastic that would fail. The 8-month-old plastic guide & tensioner broke, causing the timing chain to also break. My Jeep suffered engine damage and I ended up having to tear everything back down again.No way was I going back with cheaply made, aftermarket parts. I searched for another solution and was so happy to find the Cloyes kit, that is made in Canada, not China! It is also a much sturdier kit with parts being metal backed, instead of cheap plastic. You get what you pay for. If you need a timing chain kit, Cloyes is the way to go! Highly recommend!!

I only used 3 of the parts in the kit, chain and sprocket and 1 side tensioner. But the parts aside from the black tensioner thing all looked great and seem to be doing the job. The black tensioner jist looked and felt cheaper than the OEM part and had more play in it. So I didnt chance it on my truck seeing as how it is a pain to put it on. But who knows, maybe its great too. Someone else, put it in and run it 25k and let us know k. Take care all and hope this review helps out. My truck is a 2014 Ram1500 5.7 just for reference.
