Nov 2018 - Original Purchase Date: Bought pack of 3 in grey. Bought the 6.5 to 8.5 mens even though my size is 9.5. Wanted a snug fit and they fit great with no excess. 1 pair after washing weighs 53g/1.8 oz/Backpacked 3 full days in the mountains and some rain. No issues at all. Good cushion on foot bottoms, heel, and the top of foot. Feet breathed adequately with the nylon stocking-like ventilation areas where padding is not needed. I can't speak for drying time in the field because it was wet and overcast the whole time but they would dry fine in the sun or dry air.They hold up well** 3 Year Update 2021 **These Danish Endurance socks have suffered several hundred miles and many laundry/dryer cycles in the last 3 years and they are holding up very well. The Merino wool is now clearly looking like well worn wool should look.On ~10 to 12 occassions I have worn the same pair for 5 days straight, backpacking 40 to 60 miles in the wet and humid Appalachian & Smoky Mountains and they continue to perform better than I had expected.Quick Dry? Yes, on low humidity days just like anything else. Hanging overnight on a humid night allows them to dry somewhat. Re-wearing the next day is actually not a bad experience at all. These socks don't stink just as Merino wool is advertised.Comfort? I buy smaller sized socks to ensure they don't bunch up in my shoes/boots and that makes them comfortable for me. My feet never get hot in the summer with these.Holes? None in 3 years. If you get holes near your toe nails... trim your toe nails. If you get holes on the pads/heels of your feet... stop walking around the house with them. The elastic around the lower calf has not worn out at all.Smartwool, etc.? Yep, those are great socks. I have a bunch, but I don't hike with them in the warm season. I wear these.These are higher quality than expected socks for a fair price. If you find bad reviews for these socks, oh well. I just bought another pack of these so I have more when my 3 year old socks decide to quit.

Great fit, nice colors, good thickness. Soft and they feel warm but dont overheat my feet. My other danish endurance socks are work horses and I believe these will be too. My favorite is the elegant no plastic packaging, so simple, I dont understand why its not mandatory for all businesses! A million stars for just that!

Very light weight semi cushioned socks at a short crew length. Good for warm weather but probably not cushioned enough for long hikes.Decided to keep them.One negative comment, hence 4 stars: the colors did not match the order. Received 2 black and 1 grey.

These were what I was looking for, the right weight--they are substantial but you can wear them with tighter-fit shoes, good trick--my only con is that they are short. Shorter than they look in the sale copy. Picture about an inch and a half shorter in life than they look in the ad copy, and you're getting it.

I have neuropathy from chemo treatments and these socks keep my feet warm and are extremely comfortable. They are great quality. I will stock my drawer with more.

Got these for all the seasons - cooling the feet in summer & keeping them warm in the winter.PROS:- Do what they are supposed to do - good insulation to keep feet at ideal temps- Great padding for hiking! Super comfy!- Nice fit - as expected.- Wash well. No fading/stretching/falling apart.CONS:- Not really a con...but I wish these had the option to come in a above-the-calf length to be even more useful hiking in brush.

These socks are ok, once they are on your feet. However, they are not very stretchy, so getting them on your feet cab be difficult. These are thin wool socks. I found Tenysaf (50% merino wool) brand was far superiors to these. the Tenysaf socks slide on your feet no problem.
