COVERED IN THREE LAYERS OF NON-RECYCLABLE PLASTIC
The quality of the product is good although the bamboo cutlery seems to have a layer of paint to make it look shinier and I am not sure how healthy that is. The most disturbing thing was the packaging. The cutlery was inside a bag that seems to be made from polyester (plastic), then this was covered in a thin plastic film, then wrapped in polystyrene as if this was fragile and on top of that on a plastic folder to be shipped. All this could be avoided with some paper wrap and then inside a paper folder. I bought this cutlery to cut down my plastic waste and now I have contributed to a significant amount of plastic that cannot be recycled.
