Useful book
This was a great read for getting started on physical training as a singer. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on warming up your voice.

So informative and well written!
I have been looking for a book like this for so long! I have taken voice lessons for many years and worked with many professors/coaches. Most of them disapprove of singers getting too involved fitness. This was always hard for me, as I love working out! This book helps me find a balance of how to have the right balance. I also learned so much about the body that I will be passing on to future students.

If you are a singer you will want this book!
Wonderful responsible integrated approach to the physical, mental, and yes, even some not to the spiritual work and art of singing! Claudia Friedlander explains the anatomical mechanics of singing cleanly in the context of the whole person. I also really appreciate her understanding and application of working on body balance as it applies to singing and the work of being a artist and artisan of live performance. Have recommended already to friends and colleagues who sing and teach singers and actors.

Extremely useful
As a third year voice major, this book put physical knowledge to the skills I’d been learning and was deeply insightful. I’m thankful for what I learned from it!

Brilliant!
I love the diagrams, first of all! Somehow the anatomy lessons in this book are easier for me to receive than in a traditional biology book, maybe because it directly applies them to singing? Anyway, I've just started teaching voice and this book is invaluable! The work-out options are also dope, but I'm only just scratching the surface of them.

Very useful
I bought this book because I have found Dr Friedlander's Toutube channel so useful. Indeed, the anatomy illustrations are very clear and her explanation of how the vocal apparatus works is extremely comprehensive, although not entirely comprehensible at the first reading. This will be a reference work for me and I expect to return to it often. It is too early to say whether the exercises are helpful but they are a valuable part of the book. I am more sceptical about the dietary advice which is based on the standard dietary recommendations.

Great book!!!
This book is a great resource for singers of all styles. I’m a pop singer, and the chapter on laryngeal anatomy is really helping me to even out my vocal registers and expand my range upwards!

Book arrived cut in half
The stars aren't a reflection on the content of the book, which I'm sure is as advertised. However, the copy I ordered delivered to the UK was literally cut in half. This didn't seem to have been an accident. More an error in the printing process. To be clear: I only received the lower half of the book. The top 50% was neatly sliced off. If I were the author/publisher - I'd want to get onto your European print works and have a word. Not great.

Great Introduction
It’s great for obtaining a new point view about the singing profession nowadays. Includes a lot of topics concerning vocal pedagogy and performing as a classical singer.

Interessante nonostante qualche inesattezza
Il libro offre degli spunti interessanti ed è abbastanza trasversale rispetto a vari metodi. Lo consiglio, anche se un lettore esperto di questi argomenti noterà diverse inesattezze (minori) riguardo l'anatomia e non solo.

Great resource
Love the clear writing style that never panders. This is a topic that I have been concerned about, and this both puts those fears to rest with facts, and inspires me to explore further. Great, and quick read.
