Hillfarm Oils Rapeseed Oil, Extra Virgin Cold Pressed - 500ml

This is a massive bottle. I like rapeseed oil so decided to buy in bulk.My plan was to decant into a more sensible sized bottle to have on the side. Well, the bottle is quite heavy, so got my husband to help. He held the smaller one and funnel and I poured... Turns out this is not easy. I am not sure what the problem is, but the oil does not pour nicely out of this big bottle. I have loads of other products that I do similar things with and have no issue, but this resulted in oil over me, the bottle and the floor.Not massive amounts but enough to make me question if it was worth the bulk buy given I have approx 4 litres left.Overall the oil is as expected and good quality, just a shame the bottle doesn't pour well.If you found this helpful please click yes

I like rapeseed oil and use it for both cooking and salad. I use it for cooking because it has a very high smoke point and for salad because it is tasty and healthy, what is not to like!I decided to buy from this manufacturer. The taste and smell are very good, however, while decanting I spilled a lot of oil. I also messed up the bottle with oil and this container so had to wash everything.As I mentioned, this is not the first time I am buying a 5l container. I never ended up wasting oil or creating mess like this with other containers.I can't understand why packaging didn't get more attention. As is, a lot of product is wasted (1 star less) and a lot of mess (another star less).

Great in the deep fryer for chips. Has lasted much better than anything else I've tried. Guests have been positive about the flavour of the chips too. I believe it is recommended for high temperature frying as it remains healthier than most oils at high temperatures.

I have just recently purchased a 3l deep fat fryer so needed a suitable amount of oil to use. After looking through Amazon for a preferred oil (peanut or sunflower oil) this was all that was available to me.It arrived quickly, no issue with delivery.I used this two days ago and the smell is absolutely vile. Like rotting flowers in a vase. It filled my whole house. Despite that I hoped this smell wouldn't transfer to the taste. Unfortunately it did. I'd spent ages peeling and chopping potatoes excited about serving the family home cooked chips. No one in the house could eat them because of the weird sickly flavour. This cost me £22 for 5 litres. I poured what I used back in the bottle after 2 attempts to fry food. I went to Morrison's today and in the 'ethnic' section I got 5 litres of sunflower oil for £4!!!! I feel absolutely raped (pun intended). The food tastes lovely now cooked in sunflower oil. I don't think rape seed oil should be for cooking. The flavour and smell is stomach churning, it's so potent. It took me forever to clean out my deep fat fryer to get the smell off it.My review may be down to preference but I would highly recommend buying a very small bottle of this to sample before diving in with the 5 litres. It's bad enough this plant violates me every year through hayfever, but now it's offending my senses.

The real deal and so much cheaper than paying supermarket prices for small bottles.Lots of complaints about difficulty using the container. Must agree but I did find a easy way. I syphoned the oil off into 1 litre bottles, ok look me around 15 minutes but worth it for the saving.Really any large container of oil will be difficult to deal with in a home environment.Oh and thanks for such speedy delivery

Excellent product, seriously let down by the ridiculously user-unfriendly wide-mouthed container it comes in. I had to resort to siphoning the oil into a smaller container, as attempting to pour from it into a funnel ends up with severe wastage - as most of the oil glugs out and down the side of the container or all over your kitchen worktop. It's not so bad once you get past the halfway point, but your wastage to get there will likely be excessive!!!!

High quality rapeseed oil (large size!) at exceptionally good price. This oil is amongst the best tasting with pleasant odour. We have bought it before but just so pleased to see it on amazon at a very good price.

Obwohl aus Brexit-Country kommend, war die Lieferung schon 4 Tage nach Bestellung bei mir, obwohl ein Wochenende dazwischen lag.Ich habe den 5-Liter Kanister im kühlen und dunklen Keller gelagert, nachdem ich den ersten liter in zwei Flaschen gefüllt hatte. Die Farbe des Öls ist gold-gelb und sein Geschmack wird von mir und meiner Frau als sehr angenehm, nach frischem Raps empfunden. Der Geruch ist eher unauffällig und kann mit mild rauch artig umschrieben werden.Wir haben es in einem griechischen Salat anstelle des sonst üblicherweise verwendeten Olivenöls gemischt und es hat den Salat großartig bereichert, weil es weiniger dominant ist als Olivenöl.Zum Braten eignet es sich schon aufgrund der höheren Temperaturverträglichkeit ohnehin besser als Olivenöl.Wer für Salate und zum Braten eine gesunde und preisgünstige Alternative zu teuren Olivenölen sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Natürlich ist es mit einem Literpreis von rund 5,00€ für ein Rapsöl nicht gerade billig. Allerdings ist es aufgrund seiner Qualität jeden Cent wert. Klare ***** von mir.

Wir haben für Weihnachtsgeschenke eine größere Menge zum Herstellen von Gewürzölen gebraucht. Da das Öl einen milden Geschmack und sehr dezenten Eigengeruch hat, war es dafür sehr gut geeignet. Die Gewürze kommen hervorragend zur Geltung. Durch die goldene Farbe macht es auch optisch einen appetitlichen Eindruck.

Nunca lo he visto en el super. Muy buena la calidad y precio. En EEUU, se llama canola oil. Mejor que el aceite refinado de giraflor.

Sehr gutes Oel durchaus zu empfehlen.
