Useful guide
Large, useful book that is geared more towards the average person or nature lover. Detailed descriptions for each species with excellent maps accurate down to the county level. If you need just one book for identifying the various herps in the state then this is it.

Great resource
This is a very helpful book with great photos and lots of good information. The binding is sturdy and seems to be water resistant which is great for a field guide. Very worth the money!

Fantastic reference material for herping Georgia
Ok this is not a Field Guide first and foremost. Why? Because it's a big ass tome of a book. I knew Georgia was cool, but it's epic cool. That's what the book "Amphibians and Reptiles of Georgia" by Jensen, Camp, Gibbons, and Elliot has taught me. I'm going there on Wednesday, first time herping Georgia. I am more excited now than ever. The book includes 500 color photographs, with species accounts written by regional experts. It is an excellent reference guide, and has county dot maps for range of each species. This is how a herp book should be done. Highly recommended to anyone in the region or who is herping it. With 170 species of herp to find, Georgia is pretty much amazing.

Fantastic book! 🐢🐍🦎
If you’ve ever been interested in learning more about amphibians and reptiles pick up this book! Although I don’t live in Georgia, almost all the species over lap with my home state of South Carolina, so if you live in the southeast don’t let the “Georgia” label deter you!

An outstanding guide
Until now, there was no up-to-date comprehensive guide available dealing with the reptile and amphibian species of Georgia, a state exceptionally rich in its variety of interesting and unusual types. At long last, this oversight is more than compensated for by this sumptuous volume containing in-depth accounts of every species, including beautiful color photos and information about habitats, range records by county, conservation status, etc. Although not technically a hardcover, the binding is of surprisingly high quality, with sewn pages and a durable, flexible cover. This book is an incredible showcase of Georgia's varied herpetofauna, and a must-have addition to the library of anyone interested in learning more about it.
