Almost perfect
I have been carrying the Delica 4 as my EDC for many, many years. Just a perfect knife.. almost. I LOVE LOVE that Emerson opener, brilliant. My only gripe: I wish I could get it in the 50/50 blade (half serrated). But really that is just another cherry on top of an already spectacular sundae. Syperdeco is #1 for me.

High quality
This is a great Father’s Day gift! High quality, very solid knife. The blade is just a hair under three inches so you don’t have to worry about Illinois law. I like how you can wear it so it opens automatically when you draw it from your pocket. I mostly use it to open Amazon packages.

It's blue not black
What a great knife, especially for the price.

An extremely sturdy and well built knife for the price.
It's hard to describe but this knife just feels sturdy, even with the plastic grips. The blade comes out easy and has very little play. The emerson wave works consistently with about 10 minutes of practice.

The wave is where it's at.
I love this knife. The wave feature is great in jeans! I like the saber grind as well! Very well done Spyderco!

Legit Spyderco Knife
All,There has been a question about the authenticity of the Delica 4 and I can tell you from my conversation with 3 Spyderco reps that if you purchase from Onkata (only authorized dealer on Amazon) that you're getting the real thing. Even if it doesn't have the Emerson patent on the left side of the blade, and only has the SAL (something to do with manufacturing) marking, it's legit.Plus, all of the materials it came with are legit and I took it apart and it's built well.

Quick!
First thing, the emerson catch does work, and it's the whole selling point behind purchasing this knife. I EDC this with confidence, and it is WAY quicker than a switchblade in my opinion. Much more affordable and better option with a great classic steel, VG10, than shelling out 2-300 bucks for a knife with a fancy namebrand of 'emerson'. This is for people who actually use their knives for everyday use from cutting tape, boxes, doing limited bushcraft, and would likely work for hunting too. Bought my dad the smaller version for his birthday after seeing this one available. Well worth the money, and has been holding up just fine. It has the classic spyderco problem though of the clip bowing out and becoming loose if it dings or catches on something.
