Bought my first bag from Vet for a whole lot more. My Cavapoo loves them and I feel good about taking care of her teeth.

Our vet recommended these for dental health. Although they are somewhat expensive (as most good pet products are), our four dogs absolutely love them. And unlike many other dental products we have tried, these actually do help with tartar reduction and overall dental health. For us, it is well worth the money to have found something that actually works for our dogs. The fact that our vet specifically recommended it was also a big plus.

I've tried both the Hextra and regular Virbac chews and the Hextra are much more effective in controlling bad breath. My dogs wait excitedly for their daily Hextra treats.

My dogs love these! They actually start barking at "bone" time every night and will not let us forget. They are better than greenies as the greenies made my dogs gag. I have been using these for almost a year daily and have only had swipe my dogs mouth once. That's the ONLY reason for the 4 stars. So obviously you need to watch them when they eat them which goes for most teeth cleaning products. I can tell you one of my rescue dogs had almost half her teeth removed and they warned me that she may need the rest removed. However after a year her teeth are squeaky clean and no more extractions are needed! I will continue to buy these as they are awesome!

So, I have a chihuahua and they are prone to terrible teeth and breath. My little girl HATES when I try to brush her teeth. I have good toothpaste but can only use my finger instead of a bristle in her mouth, so I know the brushing is not very effective. I purchased these chews to help her stinky breath, and they do work! The vet always comments how he cannot believe a dog of her age and breed has such good teeth. (She's 10 now!) however, as great as these chews are - I had to take one star off. My dog chews through these small ones too fast, so I have switched to the medium size with even better results! Definitely recommend this product!
