My hair is fine and thinning, and this brush is perfect, being stiff enough to get to the scalp but not so stiff as to scratch with any discomfort. Light weight. I bought one for my son and liked it so much I bought one for myself, displacing one that was too stiff for comfort.

I bought an earlier version of this hairbrush in Hong Kong in August 1973, when I was embarking on my first overseas posting in the container shipping business. It has served me well for forty years. At 64 years of age, I still have a full head of thick hair, white now, rather than the dark brown it was in 1973. I don't know whether my Mother's good-hair genes or my Kent hairbrush is more deserving of the credit.September 2013: I've decided to treat myself to one of life's little pleasures, a new hairbrush. I added a hairbrush cleaner and a new comb to my order. I'm worth it! The brush is a slightly different size (longer handle, shorter wider brush) but the quality is just the same as my first Kent brush. It was packaged in a very high-end gift box. I'll try to post a side-by-side picture of the old brush with the new brush.You can't beat the celebrity endorsement of this brush maker: the Queen of England, no less!!!

I looked at the other Kent men's brushes and thought this one had the right price and quality for what I wanted. I am 64 y/o and my hair is thinning a bit. I wanted something that would be healthy for my hair but not scratch my scalp. At first I was concerned that the bristles were a bit stiff but after a few uses it seemed just right. I am very happy with this brush. I give my hair a good brushing every morning and it feels and looks much better than before. From what I understand about Kent quality it should be something that I can use for the rest of my life and then pass on to the next generation. This also comes in a nice box.

The Kent OG4 hairbrush is a quality men's hairbrush. I have purchased Kent hairbrushes in the past and have always been satisfied. This particular hairbrush would work great with fine, medium and course hair, I have a combination of all three. The genuine boar bristles are medium in texture but very gentle on the scalp. The wooden handle is very nice and adds to the quality of the hairbrush. I considered getting the Kent OS11 hairbrush but decided on this one because it was half the price. I am completely satisfied with the Kent OG4 hairbrush and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality hairbrush.

I bought this brush in March and use it when I get out of the shower. This is how it looks after 3 months. The Finish looks terrible and as if it is moldy. I use only water that's in my hair. I do not use any product on the brush or in my hair when using the brush. Totally unacceptable for the kind of money you pay for this brush.

A bit stiff.

My high school girl friend bought me my first Kent hair brush in 1963. She is now my wife of 53 years and I now have 4 brushes that look like my first. I keep one at work,one at the boat at the lake,and one for travel, PLUS the original at home.These brushes last forever. I highly recommend these quality brushes.

A picture is worth…. Brush came in handsome box. It was the gift that will be a lifetime of remembrance.

I did enjoy to had the brush to my hair routine. I can extend my shampoo day and my hair feel more soft. I recommend if you have long hair and want to spread your own oil in your lengths.

This was purchased for a present as I have one myself and absolutely love it. So much better for your hair than nylon bristles.
