For Laughing Out Loud: Poems to Tickle Your Funnybone Hardcover – March 20, 1991

Who doesn't love Jack Prelutsky! Just another excellent collection of humorous school poems by this author. My students and I love this book. As much as I adore this author, I have never quite enjoyed the illustrations that accompany his books. This one is no exception. I do not like the cover as it is odd, somewhat spookie, and unappealing. The poems are always outstanding. The book contains some of my favorites poems.

Very disappointed! Mostly very dark, or gross, and not very many that are funny. I’m planning to have my 2nd and 3rd graders beginning poetry memorization in our homeschool and I went though the whole book and circled maybe 2-4 decent poems but nothing I can’t live without!

My eight year old loves this poetry and we read a few poems from it at least once a day!

Funny, silly, easy read.

Great condition and great book to share with my class!

I am 8 years old and I picked this book for a school project. It is a great set of poems and most of them are very funny. I really enjoyed reading this book.

I think it was an amazing and funny book. It is very enjoyable and fun to read with someone you know. My favorite poem in this book is Bursting.

I got this book for Christmas as a kid back in the early '90s. To this day, I still remember Granmaw Fanshaw in the cement machine and Jake, the son of John Lothario/Went to swim in Lake Ontario. I read it over and over ad nauseum. All the poems are well chosen and perfect for a kid's weird sense of humor.

A lovely book of poems, the Dodo being our favourite (we had been searching for a book with this specific poem in it for some time). The book was second hand and in not very good condition but the seller was good at rectifying the situation.

My kids (ages 6 to 12) love this book of fun poems.
