GREAT DEAL!!!
I am hoping to record music in-home. I will not be gigging, so these mic stands are sturdy and durable enough for what I need. Ideally, I needed two...maybe three overhead mics for recording drums. These will work great!I really didn't need vocal mics (yet), but when I get these five telescoping boom mic stands, five dynamic vocal mics (which I haven't tried yet, but will) and five 20 foot XLR cables for just over 142 bux...I definitely can't complain! Each stand weighs about 3 pounds 10 oz. Set up and fully extended upright, without the mic clip, is about 9 feet! That's set up STRAIGHT UPWARD, fully extended. Keep in mind that telescoping outward will come into play as far as tipping, but these things really do extend that far!You can use it as you can use it as a straight mic stand, that, without the boom arm and mic clip, fully extended is just around 6 feet tall. (Same thread)They do each come with a mic clip and two clip on cable guides of two different sizes.I am indeed impressed by this deal!

Six Stands With Booms, Clips, Mics & Cables...
I needed at least four matching boom stands with wired mics for a presentation, so I found this six unit set from Griffin. I had never heard of Griffin before so I hoped they would be good enough to get me through this one event, but as it turns out, they are a very high quality and I plan on using them for a long, long time! The stands went together well and are very nicely adjustable, the mics sounded great for vocal use, (I wasn't mic'ing any instruments but they'd probably work well for that too). I wanted a carry bag for them, so I searched for tripod bags and found a 36" one that was affordable... however, it only holds four stands & booms with the booms not attached, but since I only needed four for this event, it worked. I'll be searching for a slightly larger carry bag to house all six. Definitely worth the price! :)Oct 2019:The mics all still work great, (except for the one that got dropped by somebody, body cracked but mic element still works), but some of the plastic stand hardware hasn't aged well... I found out the hard way; DO NOT store the booms tightened down, the pivot hardware will bond together and crack apart when you try to release it. All-in-all still a great purchase, well worth the money!

Impressed with Griffin Microphone package
I was looking for an inexpensive Microphone for recording guitar, and seeing this package with stand, clip, mic and cable for about the price of a mic alone, I had to try it. Especially like that the Microphone has an on/off switch, since many lower-priced mic's do not.I am impressed with the quality of the products in this package. The stand is secure, the cable flexible, and the microphone sounds good, making me believe the specs of 50-16K response. I recorded with the mic placed about 10-12 inches from my guitar, and it picks up everything nice and clear. Only annoyance is the noise when switching the mic off while connected to the amp, but that is not unusual.I have nothing to compare this to, but I am pleased with this Griffin Microphone package and would recommend it to anyone looking for good sound and good quality for a low price.

Great products, good pricing, good vendor.
Product was shipped on time, and packaged well. The Mic stand is a good bargain for the price point, and should stand up to the shows we'll use it for. The Mic is fine, in fact, it's done quite well with the vocal testing we've tried with it. I wanted one with an on/off switch, since this mic and stand will be used with a keyboard setup not used on every song. It's nice to be able to turn off a mic when it's not used (since we don't have a sound crew running the board).
