Since we installed a new fire surround, I don't want to hammer nails or screw hooks into it to hang stockings on. I saw these (or something similar) in the background on TV Christmas ads, and thought they looked a good idea so tracked them down. They work a treat - adjust to size of mantel, and have soft plastic padding to stop them scratching the top. They are very sturdy, and supported a couple of weighty stockings. A bit pricey for what they are, but hey, it was Christmas and they made the fireplace look lovely!

These Mantle-clips/Stocking-hangers are reasonably sturdy and grip our mantlepiece nicely and hold the kids' stockings securely, as they should. Perfect for Santa to fill 'em up. Should last several years or more (as long as you don't misplace them) ;)

I honestly dont know how i missed it, it obvious now that i look back but these are sold IN PACKS OF 2. LOL so keep that in mind. yes, yes, i know it is clearly stated but there you go, a rookie mistake. they are exactly as the look here, although a littler smaller than i expected, think size of a normal fist. they do fit perfectly on the fireplace and we have an awkward shape. the reason for 4 stars, is i am not convinced they are really worth 17stg but again thats my opinion, yours may differ. Also if your sock is going to have some weight, it will be a little bouncy, i suspect they might sag a little but thats probably the trade off with having to fit all fireplaces. the rubber material on the flat underside works very well keeping the whole thing secure and safe. they are expensive but look as per picture and are quality. i dont expect to be buying a replacement until long into the future.

These were the cheapest ones I found so I ordered a pair to test on my mantle. I was surprised how expensive stocking holders were! Anyway - These are a great fit for my marble fireplace and come with a rubber guard to protect from scratching! They hold my stockings even when they are full. Attractive looking and an absolute bargain!I'm so impressed with value for money I've ordered a second pair.

These come in a pack of two and are a good looking product. They fix very well to the fireplace, and the strip prevents any damage to the fire mantle. They securely hold a medium sized Christmas Stocking with no problems. In addition the front round protrudes from the fireplace and is ideal for holding a garland. I have tested the clips with a full stocking, full garland and lights, and it holds them all without any problems. I have purchased others before which I have not been happy with, but these are ideal. I am very happy with these and intend to purchase an extra two.

So far these have held up well. They look really smart and are a strong, yet adjustable, material. This has made fixing them to the mantlepiece so easy and they haven't moved at all. Despite my children's best efforts!!

Absolutely beautiful mantelpiece hooks! Very high quality, sturdy and with an anti slip piece that also protects the mantelpiece from any scratches. Will definitely recommend these to anyone who needs them!

Good but not fantastic for narrow fireplace shelves as you're relying on the bracket levering, which it does, but the scroll doesn't clasp as the diagrams show. The shelf on our wooden fireplace is 18mm thick.
