Finally what home Wi-Fi should be.
Upgraded from a 4 yr old Belkin router in 7k sqft, 3 level, long rectangular home. We have a good, reasonably fast connection with our ISP to handle the traffic you would expect with a home business, 7 kids on multiple devices, etc.... with the old router there were several dead spots and many complaints of service disruption.I ordered both a 3 pack of eero pro and also this refurbished pro with 2 beacons. The refurbished pro and beacons arrived in 2 days. Still waiting for the 3pack of pros. Set up was a breeze. Plug it in, use the app to set ssid and password and a few other configuration details. I put one beacon centrally in basement, the other centrally upstairs with the pro on main floor where the old router was. Speed test show a minimum 2x improvement and up to 4x better than previous. All devices connect quickly and are stable. It like having a professional set up my home Wi-Fi.Cons: with all the praise, there are a few things I wish were done better.1) There is no ability to set ip address, at all2) there is ability to set broadcast channel. The whole neighborhood is on the same channel leaving alot of quiet channels unused.3) there is little to no network reports or tools. This set up is working so well that I will be returning the 3pk of pros.

Most Reliable System Out There! These Look Like New.
I bought two of these as spares for my Eero Pro system since they were such a good price. I had already purchased one of the dual-band, first-generation Eero refurbished units. You can see from the photos that they're professionally packaged in a sealed, brown box and mine have all had no scratches or defects. In fact, they look just like my brand new system did at a much lower cost.I have used this system for about a year now and can tell you, after trying most of the other major players among routers and mesh systems, this is hands down the most stable, reliable system out there. I have used mine in both a wireless mesh and wired setup. I literally never have to reboot it other than when the software updates, which is on average once per month. Lots of these systems share similar chipsets and specs, but in terms of the software/firmware, Eero seriously hit a grand slam. If you want reliable wifi that just works, all the time, with no headaches or lapses, this is the one. You can also manager it remotely from anywhere with an internet connection via the app on a mobile phone, iPad, etc.Eero does continue to update the software regularly and adds features - it now has LAN persistence, which means that it will continue to work as a network router even if you lose internet and it's rebooted. I have well over a hundred clients on my three-Eero network and zero compatibility issues, glitches, or drops. Even if a node drops off momentarily, which seldom happens, it will self-heal and repair the connection while diverting wireless connections to another node, transparently.I have a wired, Gigabit internet connection and normally get 800+ Mb/s with wired connections and 425-450 on wireless PC's, Macs and laptops at any point in the house with the eeros connected to the gateway via ethernet. With a wireless mesh, I usually got 200-300 Mb/s with my Macbook at any point in the house. Good performance in any setup.

Easy setup, solid performance, great value as a refurb
I'd long been considering an Eero setup as a replacement for my aging Airport Extreme units, but was put off by the new/list price. Really happy I discovered these refurbs. Anyone familiar with Apple's "Refurb Store" will see similarities with what Eero has done here: Plain brown box, but high quality, as-new goods inside at a substantial discount (the included ethernet cables are ridiculously lux. I'm a sucker for really high quality cables).I purchased two of these to cover my oddly-configured, split-level, 1500 sq. ft. house and get excellent coverage everywhere inside and out into the yard. My ultimate goal was something as "set up and forget" as my Airport Extreme units were, but using up-to-date technology, and Eero doesn't disappoint. I haven't had to do anything with them since the initial 15-20 minute setup. Every so often I peek at the Eero app to make sure everything is working as it should, review what devices are connecting to which base station, etc. but I haven't needed to change a thing.Despite my happiness with the product, I'm still not certain they'd be worth the full asking price, but as discounted refurbs, it's a no-brainer. Highly recommend.

EERO checks all the boxes.... so far.
I bought two of these refurbished units to replace a Linksys EA7500 router and Netgear wifi extender combination that provided decent coverage and good speed BUT frequently dropped the internet connection. Google search turned up many people with same problem on Linksys routers.I used a WEMO smart switch on the router for nightly automated restarts and thought I had the problem licked but after a week it dropped the internet in spite of the nightly restart. So, on to EERO:First, I'm not even convinced that these are refurbs! Both in what looks like original manufacturer packaging and immaculate condition.Second, quick and easy configuration using the EERO app.Up and running within minutes. I did have to tinker with my PI-hole configuration to re-establish network-wide ad blocking because the router IP address changed. The old network used individual SSIDs for the Linksys and Netgear. I used the Linksys SSID for the new mesh network name and had to re-configure devices that were using the Netgear SSID.And DONE! Everything connected within one hour.Third, speed the same as the old network. Limited only by the Comcast service level I'm paying for. Coverage, on the other hand, significantly better that the old network in my 1700 sq. ft. single story house.I am impressed and pleased so far. But its only been a week so I'm giving it a provisional 5-star rating which will only change if it drops the internet connection.
