I liked the positive reviews it got from other customers, was a little unsure about the language problem some customers were having, but thought I'd order it for my daughters birthday as it was retro and different.The delivery was very quick which was lucky for me because I wanted to try it out before giving it as a gift.The unit was smaller then I expected, but still a good size if you want compact, but unfortunately I did think the unit looked cheap. I know I didn't spend over £100 on it but I didn't expect something that reminded me of the shiny plastic on a kids toys.I also turned out to be 1 of the customer who had problems with resetting the language. It may have helped if I understand German so I could read what the unit was saying, but as I couldn't I used google instead to help me. But then the translation goggle gave me didn't match up with unit. It took me several attempts to realise that the instructions in the manual were wrong. It said to press the play button to confirm when in fact I should have been pressing the menu button.Once I had figured this out I then found the preset buttons annoying as they wouldn't set the station for me.I may have had a doddy unit as not all units are perfect when they leave the manufactures, but I had lost all patience in the end and didn't want the unit anymore. I haven't ordered a replacement because I didn't want to risk having the same problems and then not having the gift for my daughters birthday.I don't like giving negative reviews and I'm sorry that I have, I may have been an unlikely customer with the 1 unit that didn't want to work.On a positive though I can see why people love the unit - it is small and compact, good looking (if you look past the cheap toy affect), and the sound quality was very good for the size.The company were quick to reply to my return and have not queried anything which was pleasing.

Really disappointed in this. I do quite a bit of research before buying, but this one got me. Pretty cheap looking once received. Not easy to change language from default German to English, and it has inexplicably changed back a couple of times in the past few months(not as a result of any power outage). Setting an alarm is a multi-step process and turning one or the other off/on once set is also. The biggest problem is the reception, however. Placed in exactly the same location as the 10 year old Sony it replaced, and despite much antenna wrangling, it finds maybe 3 FM stations where there were dozens, and the DAB reception (where more stations are found) is intermittently garbled with digital squeaks, particularly if someone walks past it. Just bought a replacement from another company. First time in ages that I've gotten a purchase so wrong.

This radio came well packed. I managed to set stored stations, but unable to set the alarm because it kept reverting back to the German language. After a lot of attempts going through the instructions to translate to English it kept going back to German, so I gave up returned it with no problem and purchased a different make.

Purchased this DAB radio as we have always wanted one for our kitchen. This has a really retro look to it and it's very easy to set up and use. It also has a CD player and a USB connection for charging your portable special items such as mobile phone and tablets. What I am most amazed about is the sound as it has really good sound for the price. It is a perfect alarm clock radio for the kitchen or even an office environment. It came set up in German but was very easy to change the language using the settings. Can be woken up by the alarm clock playing your best loved songs. The volume is quite loud too.

My daughter was so looking forward to this. She’s 13 and CDs are now ‘retro’ so after buying some CDs with her own money she begged for a CD player. Long story short, she is very disappointed after this item failed to turn up. After multiple attempts to contact the seller I’ve heard nothing but an automated reply. Avoid.

Not a lot you get what you pay for 😜

Much better sound than I thought it would be. Looks very smart. My main gripes are that I doesn’t tell you what song is being played when on a radio station and to change station a is very clumsy. Having said that overall I would say 7.5 out of 10

I bought two last May. One still works great and my daughter loves it. The other for some reason now does not have the correct time, I cant go into any settings to change anything, radio won't even turn on....
