Tang Guava Pineapple Powdered Drink Mix (18 oz Canister)

OMG WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY TANG??? THIS IS AWFUL -- New formula of Tang is lacking.For the holidays I purchase this for Russian Tea or SPICE TEA MIX -- put in zip lock or tight jar.(1 teaspoon All Spice or Pumpkin Spice, 1/2 C. unsweetened decaffeinated tea mix and 2C. tang)REALLY saddened by the change of the flavor. I've purchased tang since I was a kid. It's always been something that I've bought at least 4 times a year == always during cold / flu season and for Winter Tea recipe. This is NOT the same flavor at all. I am so BUMMED. I will need to totally adjust my tea mix recipe for Russian Tea too. JUST AWFUL.NOT RECOMMENDED -- FLAVOR CHANGED. PUKE PUKE.

I found years ago that a trick shared by a friend, running Tang through your dishwasher, eats any grime, hard water build up, sludge, you name it.... out of your dishwasher, making shiny clean, new and smelling citrus-y. Who knew? I'm not a huge Tang drinker, but I can imagine that your insides might clean uptake same as the dishwasher does??? Sorry, couldn't resist. That being said, it's difficult to find in most stores around where I live, so I ordered it here. This one container should last me a couple years of every few months of dishwasher cleaning. Try it! You'll be amazed!!!!

When I was a child, there was an orange drink that I liked. It was sugary sweet, artificial tasting, and it had an orange candy flavor. Tang is just like that. It tastes good, but it is not good for you. It's just a bunch of chemicals. Sugar is the first ingredient. But Tang does contain 100% daily value of vitamin C and 10% daily value of calcium.I drank it out of a white plastic cup, and it stained the cup orange -- probably because it contains artificial color, yellow 5, and yellow 6. I read that Yellow 5 might cause side effects and allergic reactions, and it is banned in a few countries. You can read about it on the internet.

If you like Tang, you like Tang. It seems the formula hasn't changed over the years, and it's great to have on hand when you are out of OJ, or just like to have an orange drink on hand when you want it, without the carbonation of a soda. The best thing is you can make it to your taste, and not some ready made drink-use more or less to please any member of your family.We usually buy the big tubs, but they are harder to store, so I thought I would buy a cabinet sized one this time and maybe refill from the bulk container next time around. Tang!

I use this once or twice a year in my cranberry salad to punch up the orange flavor. It stays fresh and dry for years which I know for a fact because I only use about a half a cup a year and always make it to the bottom of the plastic jar. Now that I think of it I may start adding a little to mashed sweet potatoes which I make often. An excellent product for my use. I admit I did grow up actually drinking Tang as my Dad was a bigwig at General Foods which is how I was first introduced to the product. Fit for astronauts, fit for homemakers.

As a child my siblings and I loved to drink Tang. It could be found everywhere, even our schools served it. As an adult there are memories or events that come up. That I think to myself a glass of ice cold Tang would sure taste good. Only now it is very hard to find it in my area now, like finding a needle in a haystack.I was very delighted to see it in prime pantry. I made myself a glass and drank it while I finished unpacking the rest of the box. =) it still has the same sweet orange taste I remember. (I find it to be a good alternative to Orange juice for those who need to limit it do the acid content of Orange juice.)I would highly recommend this to others, especially those who enjoyed Tang in they're own childhoods.

I use it for a base rub on grilled chicken and turkey. Try it and you will like it. Apply on the heavy side.

We love guava, but my son doesn't always love pineapple. Also, a lot of drinks with guava included in a mix of other flavors, are very disappointing in that the guava is far too subtle. For these reasons, I was hesitant about this product. But, my son really wanted to give it a try, and it was priced well, so I gave it a shot.We were both very pleasantly surprised. There is a nice strong guava presence, and it is balanced well against the pineapple, which is not too strong. We will definitely buy this again.

Great flavour but powder to water ratio more than I thought it would be.
