These are well made and a great price. I was going to make my own bird boxes, not difficult. But when you factor in time and materials, you just can't make them for this price. They do need waterproofing on the outside with a good product (fence waterproofer, water based type). And I've strengthened the tree fixing hook with proper brackets (you don't want them coming down in a strong wind with eggs/fledglings in). With a bit of extra DIY these are great bird boxes that will last a long time. Try to tree fix them facing NE so they don't get too hot, at least 15 feet off the ground.

Great quality, brought 8 to paint as gifts and really looks good. Brilliant product.

These have held up well and I have notice that a couple have been used, 1 fell down during a storm and was still intact and had no damage but I found a little baby mouse using it as a house too so I left it on the floor. It's a multipurpose house for different wildlife. Very happy and would recommend

Ordered the set of 8 nesting boxes. They arrived earlier than expected and in good condition. I was very impressed with the quality of the boxes and would definitely recommend them.

Bit cheap not sanded down

Neat and really well put together. Will be ideal for the majority of small garden birds, although I bought them a little too late in the breeding season to have any birds take up residence yet.So why 'almost perfect'?The Blue tit is extremely sensitive to the size of entrance hole and the hole in these is just a little too large to attract them. However, if you are handy, or know someone who is, it is easy to alter one of the boxes by fitting a face plate, with a one inch/twenty five mil' hole. Job done, ideal homes for all types of box nesters.

I've had these for a couple of years and they've lasted pretty well. I didn't get get any tenants the first year as I got them up too late, but last year all four were occupied. I've also attached some metal protection plates to give the birds more protection from predators, more for peace of mind than anything else.

Low quality reflects price paid which is roughly what I expected. Could have been finished a bit better, for example the entry hole is rough & splintery so will need sandpapering to smooth it. Brass coloured fittings are just coloured mild steel & are already beginning to rust. The hinges are wonkily mounted & makes top opening awkward & there are gaps between half the joints. Keyhole plate for hanging has awful drilling underneath. All will need treating & refurbishing at the end of the season if I'm to get a second year out of them.
