Should of done this year's ago
Been thinking about getting some sort of electronic hearing protection for a long time. As I consider getting into some training, I know that it will be a requirement at some point in the near future for me. I shoot a lot, as much or more than just about anybody you'll meet that's not constantly training or a competition shooter. I despise muffs, they suck for rifle shooting, especially from a rest. Been using the headband style plugs for years due to convenience. While they'll still live in my bags and truck, they'll be relegated to backup duty now.I was skeptical, both due to mixed reviews on this site and forums, as well as a good friend of mines experience with something similar (not sure if they were Walkers or not, but they were a non rechargable type that were constantly draining batteries on him). All I can say now is wow, why didn't I do this years ago? For how much I shoot it's probably silly that I haven't. The sound reduction is every bit as good as regular plugs when off. Turn them on and it's a little disconcerting for the first shot, you feel as if you will for sure having ringing ears momentarily. Not the case though. It's amazing being able to hear everything around you (much better than without them if you take the volume over 40% or so). Being able to muffle the shot, but then be able to hear your hit is amazing. It's one thing to hear steel up close through plugs. It's something totally different to be able to hear the round hit the dirt or a softer target. Shooting at range, once you get out past about 400 yards, it starts getting difficult to hear hits. With these, clear as day. The farthest I usually shoot is about 750 yds with rifles, and I can't wait to get out with these and see if I can hear my hits.I wasn't particularly interested in the Bluetooth, it's not why I wanted them. However since they were the same price I went for it (both rechargable and rechargable BT $139 when I purchased). I have to admit, the BT has been pretty awesome as well. If I'm flying solo while shooting, being able to have the plugs in, hearing protected, able to hear my hits, and have some music on low in the background is pretty incredible. All in all, unless things die an early death or have some sort of crazy problem pop up, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. About the only negative I can dream up is the Bluetooth rang kind of sucks, but that's splitting hairs. And tbh, with how small they are, it's not really surprising. Just keep your phone in your pocket instead of leaving it on the tailgate and you'll be fine lol. I foresee my self using these for mowing the yard, hell maybe at work, all kinds of things I never even considered really.

Everything I need, most of what I wanted
Bought a used pair initially and when I downloaded the application and paired them, the Bluetooth stopped working in the left ear. I sent them back saying the left earpiece was defective. Tried again with a new pair, but this time did the pairing manually without the iphone application. They worked great with Bluetooth. I started the app and the left earpiece stopped working again. I shut it down and re-paired without the app and they worked again. I used the instructions to cycle through the hearing modes with the push buttons and really like the "High Frequency Boost" mode when speaking with low talking people with high voices. The "Clear Voice" mode suppresses ambient sounds like fans and industrial noises so you can hear normal conversation better. The "Power Boost" mode amplifies everything and would be best for situational awareness environments like hunting. I'm disappointed with the app, but got everything I wanted using the user manual. I used the around the neck version previously and the work fine, but no Bluetooth. I use another set of electronic muffs over the top at the range for double protection, but have not tried these yet. I'll update this if they are unacceptable. Also trying some 3M "Skull Screw" tips. I'll update this if they are superior to Walker's foam tips.

Fragile
I am a Retired U.S. Army Special Forces Weapons Sergeant. These are great noise canceling, hear through, bluetooth earbuds, but very fragile.Bought them on December 31st for a training event during the months of January and February. I returned last week from the training event during which, the Amazon Prime return window closed.I barely brushed the left earbud with my weapon sling on the 5th time I used them. The earbud itself snapped off leaving the insertable portion of the earbud still in my ear.And now Amazon Prime won't allow me to return them for a replacement! $200 down the drain. Grrrrr.Sound Quality:Excellent when there is low to no background noise. When driving a vehicle: the background noise drowns out everything. (But I might have been using the wrong setting.🤷‍♂️)Battery Life:Only lasts for 3 hours on high setting. Would personally like 4-6 hours battery life on high due to the nature of my work. (Personal preference only🤷‍♂️)

Wanted them to work...
I wanted them to work so bad. I sweat allot and don’t like wearing over the ear ear pro in the heat. Down loaded the app. I did get my phone to connect to them by Bluetooth, but then the app never worked. It was hard to tell if they were on or off. One would be on, or both, it was hard to tell. They make a sound when they come on but the buttons on the ear pieces didn’t seem to adjust anything. I used them a sporting clays tourney and left my back up ear pro in the truck so I just kept messing with them throughout the round. I think I finally got them both “on” and the volume at max. I had my phone in my pocket and I couldn’t hear voices very well, but all I could hear was the ear buds screaming “connected” over and over again every 10-15 seconds. I shoot a pretty long 20ga so my gun isn’t as loud as short ported guns, and the ear protection seemed ok, but my hearing is shot to begin with. I think if you used them in 3-gun they wouldn’t be enough protection. Overall, the electronics are completely worthless IMO, and regular ear plugs have better protection. Maybe I got a bad set, idk...

Work as intended and comfortable
These things are amazing as ear plugs. Clear ambient sound when required and yet significantly reduce loud noise. I was a bit worried about connection issues as described by some worked perfectly with the app on my note 9

Noise protection good Bluetooth poor
Good product when it comes to noise protection, but the Bluetooth not very good keeps cutting off when listening to music, the controls on and off hard to use

Works.
Already had the Walker’s battery powered earbuds but got sick of removing the batteries after I had used them. I you didn’t remove them they were dead next time you went to use the earbuds. The new re-chargeable ones are a great improvement. Depending on range time I get 4-5 re-charges before I have to re-charge the module.

Do NOT buy these!!!!! WASTE of $259
This product is absolute garbage. The app looks and functions like it was built 20 years ago and hasn’t seen an update since. I can’t say enough about how disappointed I was when I put these on. They hardly ever connect right away. Your always having to mess with them to get them to charge properly on the docking station. The product works spotty at best. I wish I had never bought them. Couldn’t get ahold of the company to return them. Sure would’ve loved to get my money back!
