Excellent packing aid
The smaller size really compressed clothing in suitcase so that everything fit into a carry on. Great product. Wish they had a smaller size for smaller items, too.

SMART new packing technology
I purchased two sets. These are excellent if you're planning to go somewhere and buy clothes or other softgoods. There's a trick to getting the air out, but a bit of persistence paid off and the packs of clothes I'm taking to Bali fit into a third of the suitcase. Make sure to load the clothing in neatly folder to minimize wrinkles and wrap cotton and linen items inside one another. Then place on a counter and roll the zip top toward the bottom of the bag while leaning onto the whole bag. Rock a bit back and forth until you hear the airlock hiss at the bottom of the bag. Keep rolling and pressing the air out until you have a nice vacuum sealed set of clothes. For my trip to Bali I'm bringing along a soft-side bag that zips into a little pouch, but opens into a full sized duffle. With that and these compression sacks, the only thing I have to watch out for is my spending. When I go home I'll be able to carry-on the important stuff in a rollaboard and knapsack (camera, special items), and check the final bag with laundry all compressed into tidy little packages. Before then, I thought I'd take one along on a business trip to Honolulu. Glad I did. I purchased several items of clothing in spite of my best resolution to save money for the big trip. On the way home I put my dirty gym clothes in the compression bag to keep them separate from the clean clothes. In spite of the purchases, everything still fit in a carryon. If they work for a few trips like this, I'll feel like I've got my money's worth. So far they seem to be reasonably sturdy.

Excellent Product
I travel frequently for work. I try to avoid checking baggage at all costs because it's such a hassle. My last trip was such a nightmare trying to fit everything into my carry-on bag I figured there must be some solution. I searched on Amazon and read a lot of reviews for products similar to this and finally decided to try the Lewis N. Clark Compression Bags. I was really amazed with this product. I just finished packing for my trip tomorrow. I was able to neatly pack 5 days worth of clothes into my SwissGear Backpack with plenty of left over space. Using the medium and small size bag I packed a total of 5 dress shirts, 5 undershirts, 4 pairs of pants, 6 pairs of underwear, 6 pairs of socks, 1 pairs of pajamas and 1 pair of shorts. The product was super easy to use and the instructions were clear as can be. It is helpful if you have someone with you while packing to push on the bag to help expel the excess air. I have no idea how many uses I will get out of this product but for the price I paid even if it only lasts a couple of trips it's worth it just to make my life easier and more organized!

Great packing tool!
I used these bags to pack my son's suitcase for his 10-day trip to Italy. I was a little skeptical due to the low price but purchased based on user reviews as you've got to trust those Amazon reviewers! Figuring out the compressing of the bag was a little tricky on the first one - had to use a little elbow grease to get the air locks to open and release air. However, once we got the hang of it on the first one, the rest were a breeze. We were able to pack enough clothes for a teenage boy for 10 days and only filled the suitcase about 2/3 full. This left him plenty of room for souveniors on the way back. It also served well to organize his suitcase for the trip. I bought two sets and we divided his clothes by day so he could pull out one bag and have everything in it. We packed one pair of jeans and 2 t-shirts, pairs of socks and underwear in each bag. It worked great for him! He then used the bags for his dirty laundry to keep it separated from his clean clothes. We also packed an empty bag for damp swim trunks that didn't have enough time to air dry overnight. Just rolled them up by themselves in a bag and the rest of his clothes stayed dry. Would highly recommend.

Don’t work that great
We tried using these twice. You can’t have too few clothes or too many or it won’t work correctly. Also hard to get all the air out. My husband and I both worked on them and I finally gave up and we never used them for our travels.

Good value for the money
it seemed a little small when I opened the package and they were. Even the big one. However, with a lot of careful folding (it needs to be flat and stay flat as you slide it into the bag) I managed to get two pairs of pants, five shirts, ten pieces of underwear and a nightgown in the biggest bag and it compressed so flat I was able to use the second bag and stuff enough clothes for a week and a half into a small carry on, along with local food for the relatives and a business folder. The only down side to these bags is that they get really crinkled and worn after just one trip and the slider that seals the top kept popping off. Luckily it slides right back on, but I don't think there's more than another two trips in these things. For what it is, and the price, it was a good value. If they'd been constructed with heavier plastic, I would have given them five stars.

Decent but not amazing
I’ve only used 1 of the 3. Bag quality is decent but the seal isn’t great. I have to keep going over it multiple times to ensure it’s closed.

Prácticas y duraderas
Me sirvieron para un viaje de tres meses y es increíble la cantidad de espacio que se puede ahorrar al compactar la ropa.

Does not work
No valve to release air, bags just pop open, can't seal

Also it's good to note that these bags are obviously water resistant
I'm planning on traveling around the world with a smaller pack and these bags are truly a life saver. Because the bags are so light, I'm planning on taking a few extra in the event that one or two break or lose their vacuum ability (and they are light enough to not even make a weight impact). Also it's good to note that these bags are obviously water resistant. If I accidentally get caught in a down pour without my rain cover my clothing will stay dry inside. I love the idea of these bags so much that they will never not be included in my pack! The only downside is you will need a flat clean surface to re-vacuum pack your clothing items which is next to impossible on a train, plane or even in public. If you need to pull a quick layer out of your pack, have it on standby and just pack your clothing with that in mind. I'm planning on having bags for: Dirty laundry, under garments, jackets, shirts and pants.

Limited Lifespan and Usefulness
Pros: Doesn't require vacuum or hand pump. Unlike compression bags, packed bag can be molded somewhat for packing.Cons: Material a little brittle and already showing gouges from zippers and buttons. When you roll the bag, clothing gets pushed into the valve (bottom of bag, really clever design) preventing the full expulsion of air. Okay if you are using large luggage but is you pack small not that practical for backpacks or small luggage. I had hoped to use for a jacket and sweater in my 26L bag but the bag ends up holding air because of valve issue. I would give 3 stars for use with larger luggage but considering the cost and the fact that I am highly doubtful as to the longevity of the bags - (they appear so gouged after only 3 test vacuum packs) - I cannot recommend the bags.
