Great box but came with multiple blemishes. I understand that the box is meant to be used and will get beat up but when you spend almost $700 on a new box you don’t expect it to have cosmetic flaws as soon as you take it out of the shipping box. Disappointed. I feel there should be some compensation as not all the issues are from shipping. Some flaws are from when it was painted as seen in the photos

I have been watching this box for sometime so when price dropped I purchased. I wanted the black color for two reasons-black box would be less noticeable in my truck and inside of box would not tarnish contents like aluminum color. I needed the chest type box since I tow a fifth wheel. The description states the box cannot be mounted in side of truck bed but this is misleading. I called UWS and rep says box must be mounted a few inches from front of truck bed to allow lid to open. Quality of box is same as other UWS boxes. This large size will securely contain contents I need therefore I moved many of contents from fifth wheel to truck. Yes, I can say I highly recommend this box for a truck which will accept large size such as my 3500 long bed.UPDATE Sept 14This box has exceeded my expectations. The box is serving my purpose well. I am still as happy now as when purchased. I now use this truck daily for my business and the box is great. I like that my things are contained and not rolling around in truck bed. I prefer the chest type since I store more items than tools. Thanks Amazon for a quality product at a great price.UPDATE MARCH 16, 2015Measurement of box is actually 21 inches in height from bottom outside of box to top outside of closed lid. Two different measurements are given in specs so I physically measured my box.

Good product, terrible shipping packaging. Whoever thought a thin flimsy cardboard box only around the toolbox would protect it is either inept or apathetic. Upon arrival it looked like golf balls had been hit at it and it wouldn't open. I need it for a trip and had to suck it up and reshape the box to get it to even open and shut correctly. It works good now but still has dents I'll have to hammer out. If I didn't need it this weekend it would be going back. I recommend buying a different toolbox or buying this one from somewhere they care about their shipping protection.UPDATE: Should have written this update before. The latches lasted about a year. They have always been difficult to get to open even when adjusted correctly. It is now to the point where they just don't work at all and are now broken so the left latch just swings freely. I tried to replace the left latch with a lockable latch and that added a lock but didn't help the linkage was always never working well between the two sides. Dropped to one star. I wish I had bought something else that would have lasted.

Box is good quality and lid lifts easily with the struts. Bent during shipping so could have been packaged with styrofoam for the price. I will not bother with the hassle of returning since it's not unusable but obviously this is a product with thin sidewalls that should be inspected when purchased or not shipped.

I bought a return for a 100$ off with the description of the shipping box has a little damage but contents are fine. Well the contents we're not fine. This should have been at least 50% off.

Bought this for my husband. Typed in his exact car model and it said it fits. It doesn't. Bigger than expected and I did measure it as well. Also, it was shipped in a thin box without any protection. It arrived with dents and chipped paint. For something I paid over $400 for, I expected much better handling. Planned on sending it back but husband decided he wanted to keep it after all since it does hold all of his tools and he needs that. He put it in his truck the long way (now it looks like a coffin) I would've returned it though. On a positive note, the box does look very nice.

the box was twisted from being welded up and not uniform at all..On top of that it wouldn't open because the latch strike was hung up under the lip of the box..I had to notch and modify
