Netgear R6220 2.4 GHz AC1200 Smart Wireless Router with External Antennas R6220-200NAS

My bedroom is at the far end of the house, my router is at the other end and mounted in a closet. Wi-Fi signal was weak.. I plugged this router into the RJ45 wall port in my bedroom. And now WiFi is fast and strong!

This refurb'd Router met our needs and requirements.For some reason our previous router had problems seeing the upgraded speed that our ISP was providing us; on paper it should have worked fine.So we needed something not too fancy (no need for it to look like a space alien) but we did need a Router to support our USB Printer.Then I found this Netgear R6220 which is still getting firmware updates as well as supports USB Printer sharing (*).Unfortunately, I have no clue as to how well the Wifi portion of this Router works as we are using a 3rd party stand alone Wifi Access Point in a different location of our home for better signal coverage.(*)For a little while, I was thinking that I was going to have to find another option to get my laser printer back onto our little home network, because I was not having any luck in getting the Netgear ReadyShare program to work, then I found folks talk about using 'Bonjour Print Services for Windows' (from Apple.com) and this worked pretty quickly and now I can use my printer again.

The router has been a nightmare. One moment it's great and all that I wanted.then, it goes back to being a terrible problem. No connection.. nothing stable. I learned my lesson
