A great, versatile knife
It's beautifully designed and crafted. Ergonomics are great. It's the perfect size for those jobs when a regular chef's knife is too large and unwieldy and a paring knife is just too small to get the job done. It has held its edge exceedingly well and has stayed nice and sharp. 5 inches is an odd, sort of in between size for a knife so its usability is slightly limited but I enjoy using it.

Very Nice Piece. You will love it.
This is a high quality knife that feels good in your hand. It is very sharp and so far has kept its edge and is staying sharp. The wooden case gives it a very high sense of value. When you pick up that wood case to use the knife you feel you are removing something of high value. Company made a very smart move to include it. Not hard to keep something like this. You want to hand wash and dry it after you use it.

Terrible knife
The depth of the blade of this knife puts your knuckles on the cutting board to use it. Poor design.

Very well made knife. I like it so much that I bought another one for my mom

A little disappointed
The 14C28N steel was my primary draw. It was the only knife I could find that listed the specific steel; most others were "Stainless Steel", or German Stainless or some other generic term. I have a Fabreware with the same design in "Stainless". I ordered the Cangshan because I thought it would give me better edge retention. I mean a $90 dollar knife should outperform a $9 knife; but so far it hasn't.

What a great knife
This knife along with the paring knife is my most used of all I use. This is amazingly sharp and so easy to handle. Like the ergonomic feel. This was replacing a 10 year old Henckels that I have sharpened many times. There just comes a time to replace it. Love this Swedish steel and the smooth handle.
