India Hicks: Island Style

I absolutely loved her book! She definitely takes after her famous father.Most of all I like her living room with the red sofa and the old chairs.The red fez and the red fish are super.I have seen pictures of her Bahama home on Pinterest,that's why I bought the book.I live in HelsinkiFinland,we have nothing that can be compared to her way of creating a home. Here people seem to think that a home in utterly black andwhite is the heigh of good taste ,adding some horrible paintings.

Absolutely beautiful coffee-table book! India Kinight's beach style is well-known, and this transports you to the Bahamas, showing lovely interiors and decorating inspiration. You may want to cry when you close the book and look at the grey English skies outside your window.

I can't count how many times I've flicked, read and re-read the pages of this book since it was delivered. Not only visually stunning but it's an interesting read too. As coffee table books go - I will have this one close to hand.

Interesting enough but didn’t have the wealth of photography and interior design inspiration I was expecting.

The book is intersting in that it describes family life on an island. I was slightly disappointed by the absence of examples of typical decorative elements which might be helpful to anyone trying to decorate an island house.
