Simply the best overdrive circuit for playing Rockabilly. I say that... because that’s what I know best.Great quality in the build and well worth the price!

Got turned on to this pedal by Matt Schofield after working a couple of shows he played. Check out his appearance on "That Pedal Show" on YouTube. This does every thing he describes. Guitar cleans up beautifully and the pedal has fantastic dynamics. No compression at all. Sounds like a Super Reverb on 7. On the brighter side, but you hear the pickups and everything you do through it. My Zendrive sounds boxy and nasal in comparison although it has more drive. Running both together is wonderful. I sold my hand tuned Fuchs ODS after running this combo.

Good transparent distortion pedal but not too transparent. Lots of gain ( if that's your thing). A little more midrange than my other pedal and that's a good thing. A little noisy at the highest settings but in a live situation it really doesn't matter and I hardly think anyone would use the highest settings.

This is a very versatile pedal. The range of gain is quite impressive, it probably has the most range out of every overdrive that I know of and have tried. It's hard for me to think of anything this pedal can't accomplish as far as gain is concerned. If you're looking for a single-switch pedal that does it all I would definitely give this one a try with your rig.

Great overdrive pedal. Smooth, warm and very flexible for wide variations from low gain OD to higher gain distortion.

Did not buy it on Amazon but this pedal is awesome. Someone else commented that it sounds like a super reverb on 7 and that’s accurate. Never fancied myself a fender guy, but this is an always-on-makes-everything-better pedal. Works awesomeWith single coils but I also love it for my LP! It stacks wonderfully. Honestly I have this as a stand-alone pedal and the Supreme Overdrive (RB on left side) and two royal blues stack awesome too! Get two! Maybe Mad P will do a deluxe with two RBOD circuits. Love it!

Timmy 、Jan Rayと、”トランスペアレント系”の双頭であるニ機種を所持しているので、同じジャンルの観点からレビューします。まず、Royal Blue は歪みのレンジが広い。質感は違いますが歪み具合でいうとTimmyをGAINフルにした設定が当機種での12時辺りに相当します。BASSとTREBLEのEQの効きもかなり良く、Jan Rayと比べて広い帯域を持ってます。バランスがよく設定もしやすいため、EQの効き具合は両者に勝っているかもしれません。また歪みのレンジもTimmy、Jan Rayをフルドライブさせた時よりも深く歪み、ローゲイン設定もGOODです。と、ここまで書くとTimmy、Jan Rayよりも完全に勝っていると思うかもしれませんが、実は決定的な差があり、それは”歪み方のスムース＆ジューシー感”にあります。ご存じトランスペアレントとはギターとアンプの音を殺さない自然な歪みがその人気の最たる理由な訳ですが、Royal Blue は歪みの質感が少し粗いです。ややバリついた感じで、非常にクリーミーな歪みを持つJan Rayや、原音を全く殺さないTimmyと比べるとその点がやはりこのニ機種には及んでいない事がはっきりと分かると思います。他の機種を挙げるとするならば同じくトランスペアレントのJHS Morning Glory v3の、ブルースブレイカー系の上品な暴れ具合があります。しかしやはりトランスペアレントですので、BOSSやMXRのような作られた歪みに比べると断然ナチュラルで弾いていて気持ちのよいポイントもたくさんありました。価格を考えれば上記の機種に全て勝つのは難しいかと思うので仕方ないとは思いますがRoyal Blue にはRoyal Blue の良さがきちんと存在しています。主観ですがトランスペアレントでありながらもTS系っぽいニュアンスが感じられます。TimmyにMaxonのOD9足したようなニュアンスに聴こえます。色々申しましたが結果的に言えば私はこのペダルは好きです。TimmyともJan Rayとも違い、おそらく世のトランスペアレントでは最もGainが稼げるので、メインの歪みにしても良し、ゲインブースターにしても良しと使い道は自由自在といった所が好印象です。
