Big Horn 3 Legged Pan

Does exactly what it says.
We have used this only twice, so, if anything changes I will update. This is big enough for most small firepits and stands a reasonable hight above the fire. The cast iron plate heats up well and holds its heat. We tried kebabs, but found that the curvature of the griddle didn't suit this style of cooking. Pulling the meat and veg off and placing straight on the the griddle worked well though, just doesn't look as good. It cooked sausages and lamb steaks very well though and heated seasoned oil in a ramikin quickly at the center. Taking a little time to season with oil will be worth while. Only negative so far is the soot build up on the base after being over the wood fire. Not a lot you can do about that but cleans of easy enough. The pros are that it heats quickly, faster than a BBQ, allows the heat from the firepit to keep you warm even in use. Has a solid feel to it. Legs screw in well (but can be a slight wobble if not fully nipped up.)It does need a case, Petromax do a similar griddle and you could probably buy one of their cases. I made mine from some heavy duty outdoor material we had. Just makes it easier to carry and stops any soot getting spread around after use.We like it, and given that we use our fire pit throughout the year it will see a lot of use no doubt.

Make sure you season it again
So far so good I’m not sure how long the threads for the legs will last

Easy fry up
Perfect! Easy to use and quite easy to clean once it’s cooled down. Made a full fry up for 4 people and steak and potatoes the night before.
