KEEP YOUR OLD UNIT! PARTS NEEDED! READ OTHER REVIEWS!
As others have stated, this is a bare bones ice maker replacement. No wiring harness. No clips. I transferred my double wire hanger from my original Amana ice maker to this one, to ensure ice maker shuts off when the bin is full. The single wire hanger doesn't raise high enough as the ice bin fills to activate the shut-off mechanism. I added a picture of the double wire hanger. The piece for the water fill tube indicates the area where a "tab" should be removed to allow for the tube, but that tab doesn't just snap out, though it looks like it should. You have to cut it out with a knife, or some other tool (I used a Dremel), though it probably would have been easier to use the original piece from my old unit. You may need to "prime" the ice maker after installation. This can be done by removing the front white cover and inserting a small INSULATED jumper cable into the holes identified with "T" and "H". You can find instructions on how to do this safely on YouTube (Search "Testing Ice Maker").I kept most of the items from my old unit in case anything fails or breaks on this new one in the future, such as the thermostat, sweeper arms, and tray (for the heater element).I just installed this and it is working properly. If something changes, or it fails in a short time, I will adjust my star rating and update my review.

Was easy to install
My original ice maker was 25 years old and causing the gfi breaker to pop in addition to leaking water into the ice bucket and freezing the ice cubes together. All the problems went away after the new one was installed.

Fixed my broken one…but….
This works great, however, every now and then a cube doesn’t drop ( far end). This causes a buzzing/vibration sound -to be heard.Fix:you have to reach in and pull the one cube out - and then it is fine again - peace and quiet.Probably happens every 3 weeks.

Very happy with this icemaker after 6+ months
There are a ton of these units on Amazon and ebay and I really wasn't sure even after I spent prolly 30 minutes trolling the reviews if I made the right decision. But the unit seems very well made, installation was relatively easy (although I'm pretty handy), and I've been extremely happy with it. About the only thing that was negative about it was that the directions are pretty bad -- typical for a far-east product. There was a mounting bracket that for the life of me I couldn't figure out where it went until after it was installed. It wasn't needed since I was replacing my current ice maker. The unit seems very sturdy although there are some plastic pieces that seem a bit weak but seem to work well. I was able to adjust the water level to reduce the hollow ice problem.

Save everything from your old unit before receiving the replacement
Total installation time was about an hour because I had to uninstall and then re-install after realizing that I forgot to knock out the tab for the water fill vinyl tube.1. Do not disassemble ANYTHING from the old unit before you get your new one. You will have to use every removable part from your old one on this newer unit. I guess that helps them keep the cost down.2. The most important item that LUCKILY I saved was the wiring harness that connects the unit to the freezer. If you had thrown that out, then you would have been really out of luck. It would not be easy to find a replacement.3. You will need the clips that hold that wiring harness to the unit, and the screws that screw the clip onto the unit.4. You will need to keep your original metal bracket that helps support the front end of the unit. The plastic piece that they shipped would now fit in my configuration. Luckily I had not scrapped my bracket, although I did have to go retrieve it out of my metal recycle bucket in the garage.5. The metal bail wire that tells the unit the the ice bucket if full was not clicked into the motor end I had to push it in. I do not know if that affected the fact that it does not "freely" swing like the old unit did, but if your unit does not make ice, then you have to manually reach in and pull the bail wire down so that the unit knows there is room to dump the ice. After a couple of weeks, it seems to be working ok though. Also it is a single wire versus my original 2-piece wire bail.
