Full title: Sweet Dreams: The Complete Decca Studios Masters [1960 - 1963] (2010 US 51-track digitally remastered 2-CD album set - in 1960, after five years of recording with 4 Star [distributed via Decca Records], Patsy Cline signed directly to Decca Records and producer Owen Bradley. Having been limited by 4 Star's insistence on dominating the copyrights of the songs she was recording. Owen & Patsy immediately looked more broadly for material, and their first three song session under the new contract instantly produced gold in 'I Fall to Pieces', her first Country #1 and her first charting recording in almost three years. The next year also produced her classic 'Crazy' and 'She's Got You', and Patsy Cline's star has shone brightly ever since. All she needed was the right material, and Owen Bradley and Decca provided it. Unfortunately, that illustrious combination was only to last until Patsy died in a plane crash at age 30 in March 1963. By then, she had recorded the 51 masters on this new collection, and these 51 tracks have become the crown jewels in this country Queen's recorded legacy. From standards to country classics, from Cole Porter and Irving Berlin to Willie Nelson and Hank Williams, the songs, Bradley's full-bodied productions, and Patsy's performances shine throughout. 'Sweet Dreams' is elaborated on by a series of remarkable period photos and insightful sleeve notes by Colin Escott.

Patsy Sweet Dreams Cline
This is a great cd featuring all of the songs Patsy did for the Decca label including Walking After Midnight which was the first song she did-literally as this version was a re-recording-and the first one I liked. Others are Why Cant He Be You Sweet Dreams Of You Back In Babys Arms I Fall To Pieces Leaving On Your Mind Crazy So Wrong Shes Got You Faded Love and many others although some of the songs on here are covers a practice that was common back then. You should get this.

Complete Decca Masters
If you own all the previous CD’s including Greatest Hits, Story, Portrat, Sentimentally Your’s and Showcase, this CD makes for a great treat for collector’s who would like to own all the CD’s in one package. You get 51 different songs to listen to. On opening the CD, I panicked abit about the discs in the treys too tightly and breaking, but I was really careful and made sure the disc wouldn’t break in half. I’m on the fenc of buying “Crazy Dreams: the Complete Four Star Recordings”, which would go nicely with this set. The downside to this collection is that this CD is recorded at an extremely low volume like the older CD’s and I had to crank it. There was a lack of punch in the recording and Patsy Cline sounded flat. My new found favourites apart from the ovious classics included “Shoes”, “Fooling Around”, “Loving In Vain”, “That’s How a Heartache Beginns” and “You Belong to Me”. Patsy Cline will be sorely missed. Rest in pease, Mrs Cline.

What a BEAUTIFUL voice!
I think Patsy Cline has a GREAT voice. I hate to say it, but when I played this first cd I was a little disappointed. I didn't know much about Patsy's music. I always heard that she was considered the female voice of country singers. That's what I personally have a problem with. She has a GREAT voice, but country? She sings mainly popular music songs in my opinion much like Dinah Shore and Rosemary Clooney did. What is considered country was very good no doubt, but they were few and far between. Loretta Lynn is the Queen of Country singer's and NOW I think she slide to #2 thanks to Miranda Lambert. Patsy HAD A GREAT VOICE, but I wouldn't slip in her CD if I want to listen to Country Music is all I'm saying. Sorry Patsy, R.I.P.

Absolutely amazing! Great to have the hits in one compilation!
This collection is fantastic! I purchased the mp3-download version. Therefore, I didnt have to worry about the 'CD' case issue that many other customers have expressed concerns about. My only regret now is not having the insert booklet- which I've been told is very well done.As a life-long Patsy Cline fan, this album is quite the treat! It is nice to finally have all of her Decca hits together. It was always a little frustrating to have to purchase several different Patsy albums just to get all of my favorites. It's nice to finally have everything together- at last. Better yet- the mp3 version has allowed me to put the music on my smartphone.'Sweet Dreams' includes all of Patsy's Decca recordings- the music that catapulted her to the top of her career. Please note that recordings Patsy made between 1955 and late 1960 (under the '4-Star' label) are not included. The sound quality is superb.I would wholeheartedly recommend this compilation- whether you're a die-hard Patsy Cline fan, or are just now discovering her timeless tunes.

I constantly play this cd.
Patsy Cline has the most amazing voice. No female in country music can touch her. She had just a few hits in her short career but everything she sings is a hit to me.

A Classic Album.
A double cd which spans her time with Decca in the early Sixties prior to her death in a plane crash. The two cd's are organised chronologically and without doubt, my opinion is that the earlier cd1 is much better and varied in style in comparison to the second cd. The issue I have with cd2 is that I find the tracks generally "samey" and apart from "Sweet Dreams" and maybe a couple of other songs means I will mostly listen to cd1. Hope this review helps.

First lady of country.
I purchased this off Amazon for less than £10. Definitely the first lady of country music, who broke through the control of the male dominated country and western singers, and opened the door for female artists to walk through. Amazing voice and talent. I have bought country and western music since the late forties, and still buying it today. This box set is a treasure, performed by one of the best female artists of all time, who was tragically taken from us to early, in a plane crash. Don't miss it.

Magnificent!
This is the collection that I was looking for, it is superb. These are later recordings- as the name suggests and for my money is Patsy at her very best. Some of the songs appearing here are later versions of songs in other collections, which was an unexpected bonus (Stronger Than Me, Poor Man's Roses). It includes Sweet Dreams (obviously) as well as Why Can't Be You? which don't appear together in any of the other compilations. If you love that later, more sophisticated Patsy, this is the collection to get.
