Awesome filter and easy to use.
Bad thing is that it was a badly abused box that arrived. Small crack on bottom right hand side of filter but I simply glued it with aquarium safe glue and installed as per instructions. I was torn about this type of filtration but really like it.

but I'm pretty sure my tank is still cycling after the change ...
I had a hanging, semi-submersible filter for my betta in a 10g. It worked well, but I needed a baffler because the water flow would push her around and she wouldn't go to that side of her tank very much anymore. With this one, she now has free range of the tank and loves to play with the bubbles. I've noticed my tank is slightly cloudier than it used to be, but I'm pretty sure my tank is still cycling after the change of filters.Would definitely recommend to those who have similar filter issues. :)

Good O2 to tank but not any cleaner
No difference in tank cleanliness but increases O2 for fish.

Lee's must have fixed mfg defects of slots fil. As to the reviews about clogging...Use a colander when pre-rinsing your gravel.
I did not like that it came in multiple parts, but understand that makes it work in many shapes. I saw the other reviews about some of the slots being filled in. Lee's must have fixed that. As to the reviews about clogging...Use a colander when pre-rinsing your gravel. All the tiny chips and stones come out and do not clog your filter. This is what a colander looks like (picked that one because holes were most visible.) Now Designs Metal Colander, 3-Quart, Turquoise A small mesh strainer in the drain is a good idea too (this one allows particles under it but you get the idea.)
