I have a very old virgin media cable box and the remote control stopped working ages ago. It still wouldn't work when I changed the batteries and I was getting rather frustrated.This remote control arrived within 3 days of ordering, and immediately I opened the package and attempted to use it. It worked like a dream! I was so happy; I was worried it might not work because my cable box is from the ntl days, but it did work and I'm very impressed. The item does exactly what it says it will.

Delivery was speedy and easy to use to change channel straight away - have to programme a number in to use for volume control but easy enough as make of TV has it's own model number printed with the instructions. Only drawback is that it doesn't completely switch off the TV - only leaves it on standby.

Everything functions like the apparently exact same handset it replaced, but it cannot control the sound volume on the television like the old one, despite trying many many times, hence four stars not five.

exactly as advertised including batteries and worked first time cheaper and better value than buying from virgin, feels lighter hope the battery cover does not snap off as the original one did

Larger batteries than original version BUT this means that the front & back covers have sharp edges.

Worked almost immediately. Did auto search for the code and was set up straight away. Comes with instructions but the writing is small so pay attention.

Lost the other one. Thankfully the identical piece of kit could be found. Does what it says on the tin / instructions.
