Best Plo Koon figure in the market
If you're a Plo Koon fan this is a must have, great articulation, perfect robes and clothes, this figure is wonderful, the head sculpt is better than any picture of it that you can find on the web, looks terrific, thanks Sideshow for bringing the BEST PLO KOON FIGURE EVER MADE

One of Sideshow's better SW figures.
While he didn't do anything but die in the movies, Plo Koon looked rad. Him being released early in the SW line of figures got some collectors riled up, but most people didn't have any complaints once he came out. My main reason for getting him was the exclusive version's lightsaber gauntlet, but he was cool enough to be good without it.Plo's head sculpt looks just like how he did in the movies. Sideshow did excellent on the breath mask and googles too, getting some tiny details in there that they could've skipped on and not many would've noticed. His hands are great too, with veins showing through the skin and good texture on the nails. His robe is also different from any other Jedi's- it closes with little snaps. I really like this design and wish we'd get other figures with it. The rest of his outfit is done well, though not of high quality like the first couple of Jedi (especially Kit Fisto's). Plo comes with the usual Jedi accessories: lightsaber hilt, ignited lightsaber, useless communicator and the hologram thing that no one ever uses. If you get the exclusive version, you get a great looking ignited and unignited lightsaber gauntlet. Now, I said it was the main reason I got the figure. That thing just looked cool! But once you snap it on his wrist, you realize that there aren't many poses you can get out of him while wearing it because it just looks silly once on. It looks like a wrist blaster shooting giant laser bolts.Cons? The usual- Buck body giving you limited articulation compared to what's out there today, though I can't really complain for when this was released. That and the quality of his outfit are about it. I also don't like the frayed robe he has. Like I said with the Obi-Wan figure, if you pull on one strand or it gets caught on something, it could destroy the whole robe. Be careful with it.Plo's a good addition to any collection. His design alone makes him stand out, and even with how silly the lightsaber gauntlet is, it adds some pop with it having green blades. Maybe you can give it to another figure that can get better poses?

Good details, but could do better with quality of parts.
First, let me state that this is a very nice looking doll (figure for anyone offended by the word "doll"!). As far as the character's looks go, Sideshow did very well. Plo Koon's face is pretty much spot on. The clothes are not bad either and some would say he has the best looking robe out of all the Jedi as his robe is slightly different looking from all other Jedi robes. The main thing that makes me give this only four stars is the hands. I know they are supposed to be able to be taken off and switched out with the extra set, but they don't click into the arms very well. They fall off if you barely move him! When trying to put him into poses, it's very irritating. I have seen other figures (from other companies) that did much better with allowing the hands to click more securely into place and not fall out at the slightest touch, and so I feel that with as much time and detail that went into the doll, Sideshow could've done much better with that. Also, considering the high pricetag they slap on their products, I would most certainly expect good quality body parts! I have to say as far as the body goes, Mattel has done better many times with simple Ken dolls. The only advantage to the sideshow bodies is the articulation. Overall, it is still a nice looking figure.

Beautiful sculpt, not necessarily a great toy
This 'figure' is a great sculpt, the mask in particular is incredibly well detailed for a fairly small piece. It's probably one of the best of the Sideshow figures as it doesnt have to live up to a human counterpart, many of which lack some character. The materials used for his clothes are beautifully made, entirely convincing for a small scale set of robes, however I'm not a fan of the main brown cloak. It's much too big for the model, and the hood isn't great for displaying over his head, I prefer to display the figure without the brown cloak anyway as the under robes are much more interesting. The belt is great, the little pouch on the side is a nice touch, with a 'lid' which isn't too tight or too loose to lose items (jedi communicator and holo-projector) placed in it. The little belt clip for the lightsaber hilt is also a brilliant idea, if not entirely secure, but it certainly works for display purposes. The Boots are too stiff to allow any articulation in the ankles, so the figure will only stand properly with the supplied base/stand The two pairs of hands are greatly poised, one each for gripping the lightsaber, and one each for a sort of 'force push' pose. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the figure for playing with, as the hands would probably come off rather easily with enough wear and tear. It's definitely more of a display doll. The gripping hands are a little tight for fitting the lightsaber in but they'll most likely loosen up and it's better than having hands which don't grip at all.Overall it's a beautifully crafted display doll, which is what it's really for. I wouldn't recommend it for an alternative to an Action Man or G.I. Joe doll as it's not nearly as robust as those. If the main Jedi Cloak was a better fit and the boots allowed a little articulation it would be a 5*, but Im certainly not disappointed with itI personally intend to use the figure as a mannequin to help with my art in drawing poses and lighting on materials and such.I highly recommend to any Plo Koon/Star Wars fans and collectors, of which I guess there are many out there... ever since Jedi Power Battles on the PS1 ;) ... god I miss that game.
