I have a 26 year old Whirpool Heavy Duty dryer that stopped working for the first time ever. After a quick search I found this kit and took a chance. I wasn't certain which component failed so I started with the easiest to remove, which was the thermal fuse. I didn't get continuity with this fuse so I replaced it with the one from this kit and tested the dryer--Success! I could have replaced the other components while the cover was off but decided to leave them alone. I'm curious as to how long they will last! The parts come in a nice resealable bag that I duct taped to the back of the dryer so that I will be able to easily find the parts should they be needed in the future.

Once you have diagnosed that it's one of the fuses or thermostat, it's best to replace them all. YouTube videos will show how to dismantle and diagnose. If remotely handy with a nut driver and multimeter, this is not hard. My dryer is at least a 15 year old Kenmore 80 series and this was the exact replacement for all parts

My dryer had stopped working and we identified it needed a new thermal fuse. It was almost $200 for a technician to install the part, so we decided to try it ourselves. The thermal fuse on our dryer had the part number so searched Amazon and found it. This part arrived in two days and was exactly what we needed. It was easy to install, and within 5 minutes the dryer was working again. We did find this same part locally, but it was almost twice the price. We had never installed a dryer fuse before, but it was very easy. Would definitely recommend!!

Clothes weren't getting dry on the Whirlpool dryer. Since I had replaced the heating element some time ago, I knew just what part to get. Luckily, it came as a bundle with the thermostats and other pieces (thanks for listening to the people, vendors!), and pricing was reasonable. Just what I needed to take the guesswork out of things. If you're a "Mr./Ms. Fixit" type like I am, keep a log of the repair and write down the replacement parts used for next time. Save yourself time and trouble!

One of the parts was not compatible to the dryer! It was a 240v and the one in dryer is 120v. The website indicated these were the parts needed. Therefore, had to order another part for additional money! However, the company made good and gave me a credit for the part I couldn't use.

The thermal fuse blew on our three year old dryer. AKA the thing worked but didn’t produce heat. With the help of some do it yourself videos on YouTube and this great little packet I was able to follow along, find out what was wrong, and replace it. Took less than an hour from start to finish (I’m a novice so if you knew what you were doing replacing these parts is a five minute job). Saved me at least the $95 service fee our repair guy

Did the job, done dryer working again. Whirlpool electric. Only needed one of the fiour, but now have three otehr items, in case something else goes wrong. Great price, great shipping speed and Amazon had it, local major appliance parts store Trible's (Fairfax Virginia) did not and would take 7 - 10 days to get it. No wonder Amazon is in business. Same thing with the element didn't have it, 7 days wait..too long

This is not the exact part for Maytag dryer according to manual. It works fine. The oulet temputure when I measure it is wider than the manual calls for but the average is very close to spec
