Command hooks work w/this net!
So far, I love it! I (like other reviewers) didn’t want holes in my walls, so bought command hooks. See pics for the type I bought.

Not dog resistant
Didn't hold up. Had up for one day. Smart dog can crawl under. Easily chewed. Not dog resistant. We will be getting a swinging gate.

Blocks stairs
This product was nice and easy to put up and blocks the puppy but also blocks the two year old lol. I love the simplicity in this gate. I didn’t want to make holes in the wall, so I used command hooks!

Hardware is Garbage (French for trash)
The hardware is weak-like Fogell from Superbad. Wasn’t planning on drilling pilot holes as every screw eye I’ve ever used from the local hardware store I could get started and screw in (with plyers if needed) without a pilot hole. Anyway after a long day at work, I opted to drill pilot holes to speed up the process (kids were being bathed and my time was limited). First hole pilot hole drilled-twisted off. Enlarged the drill bit (uncomfortably close to size of screw eye) and drilled a second hole-success. Second hole-same enlarged bit-second screw eye-twisted off. Perfect end to the project for the night. Until tomorrow.

Not an ideal solution
I had thought a soft gate like this net version might be a good solution to keeping my two dogs upstairs. I was not terribly impressed with the actual 'gate' though and had no success. The gate is just a piece of netting with some stretch and it's installation hardware are just eye screws. I didn't want to have a bunch of hardware sticking out from the top of my stairs so I followed another reviews advice and used the closet style clips. That worked well for the install, but the gate was not effective. I have a small Shin Tzu mix and a large German Shepherd and both had no problem getting past the gate. In part because they could just go under it and there is no way to hold that side of the gate, since it runs across the floor. It may work better for more passive or well behaved dogs. But I think any who really wish to get past the gate will have no issues, and so it isn't a very effective solution.

Easy and fast setup pet gate
Easy to setup gate to keep my dogs out of the kitchen. I used this when cooking and need to keep my dog out. It works well and is easy to serup, no need to fumble with complicated setups, just hook and it's set.

Best dog gate ever!
So glad I purchased this magic mesh gate, it’s so much easier to put up and down for my dogs to stay downstairs. Instead of using a plastic big and clunky thing that my dogs somehow can move. With this they’re not able move or knock the gate out of its place. It was a quick and easy install, I wasn’t a fan of drilling a hole for the hardware into my stairs all though it was very nice it was all included, so I compromised and got compand hooks and they work like a charm. The mesh is easily stretchable for the hooks to attach and close off the upstairs or other rooms. I’ll definitely be getting more for other locations in the house!

Seems like would work well - my stairs were the issue, not the net
I really liked this net and wanted it to work - it seemed like the only thing that would work for my super awkward staircase. I also did not want to put holes in my wall and followed the recommendation of a previous reviewer and used command hooks (plastic backing with little metal arms) - worked really well. Unfortunately, my stairs are just too damn awkward (L shape, with banister ending at the inner corner of the L - couldn’t get it to affix/stay put on the banister spindle b/c no good anchor points, fine on wall side) and I couldn’t get it to work so ultimately had to return. Back to using a cardboard box makeshift barrier on the third step for me...
