Would not recommend
We are in the process of returning this item. This was my daughter's "big birthday gift." My other daughter has had a Swagtron Hoverboard and it has worked wonderfully since day 1. Time has gone on, so my husband and I did our research and this brand and model came with good reviews. Our personal experience was definitely not a positive one. The foot pedals do not always activate when a rider gets on, or one will activate and the other won't, which also leaves you in a bad situation. We had an incident on the second day where one pedal stopped working abruptly while my daughter was riding which caused her to fall from standing position onto our dining room floor, narrowly missing the edge of the table... luckily it didn't happen on concrete, but never the less she did not want to get back on. We encouraged her to try again and said it just needed to work out the kinks. This is day 3 going on 4 and it has way too many kinks for something that was rated so highly and isn't exactly inexpensive. Although this brand and model got good reviews, I would not recommend this item to others.
