Oh, it's real alright.
Using it as part of a pet bed for my cat. She seems to love it. It's real alright. Quality for what it is but a tiny bit spooky. This thing was a living animal at one time. Arrived vac-sealed and rolled up nicely.

Ordered 2 of these to use as bedding for my ...
Ordered 2 of these to use as bedding for my dad's casket that I built with an extremely short notice. They were delivered by Amazon Prime as promised on the day before my dad's funeral. One of them was as described as far as size and the color (champaign) and it was absolutely stunning. The other one was at least 30% smaller and pure white - they did not match. With no other option, I made them work together, but the appearance was disappointing. I had planned to go up the sides of the casket a few inches but could not because of the the color and size of the small white one. Instead I used the small white one to fill in around the edges. So, in summary, when you receive yours, you could get an absolutely stunning as described in the listing Sheepskin, or you could get disappointed.

So that's all good. It's holding up well about 7 months in ...
I don't really know much about skeepskin quality, but I did used to have to take care of sheep and this is cleaner, quieter, and dead. So that's all good. It's holding up well about 7 months in -- it's being used as a throw on a bench and either I or the dog lounges on it nearly every day. Spot clean it with a damp cloth and maybe a mild cleaner when your dog drools all over it and brush it with a dog brush if it needs to be fluffed up or starts looking worn. It's holding up around the dog despite being gleefully shaken and thrown on the ground during a rampage or two. It's soft, I didn't notice any smells, and for the price I'm very pleased with it.

good for the price....as expected!
They are about what I expected for the price, so I am satisfied :) I ordered one to throw on an ottoman to 'cozy it up' and another to throw on the dog bed to also cozy it up! The color has a little more yellow than pictured and I was hoping that they'd be more a cream color. For my purpose they are just fine though. I didn't want to spend a lot of money for feet and dogs!

Horrible stain
I was really looking forward the this sheepskin rug and wanted to like it so I could buy 4 more for around the house but this one came with a huge stain on it. I tried to wash it out by hand but no luck. It may have been a color on the sheep itself but it didn't have the aesthetic I was looking for. I kept it anyway and I am using it draped over my rocking chair. It has a nice texture to it. It is not rough feeling but no overly soft. It feels like a sheep! Another reason I kept it was because it does not shed. Some are very poorly tanned to the point where the fur will just fall out. It did however come with a slight chemical smell (probably from being in a factory). As of right now I would not recommend this to anyone else.

Love it! However
Love it! However, I chose Ivory/White and it looks like I may have gotten the Champagne color. Because this is real sheepskin, I'm sure the colors are going to vary from rug to rug. Even though I would have preferred something more white than cream, it still gives me the looks I was going for. I wanted something for my dining room table bench and was considering buying 2 smaller rugs but opted for one longer rug, instead. I'm keeping this b/c I think it still looks pretty cool and fits perfectly on the bench. If you want something super white (and much thinner) you may want to consider a faux sheepskin.

Some Rough Li’l Sheep
The opposite of virgin wool, these sheep must have lived on the shady side of the pasture. Fur is maybe one inch deep, not very furry. The sheep dog probably had more fur on him....uh oh. Size is in the region of 2’x3’ as the photo shows (that’s a ruler, not a yard stick, folks). The back side shows it was either a sheep that had been in a knife fight or its pelt was enhanced after its demise. Then there’s that nasty stain...best not think about it. If I had a do-over here, I’d go with a better brand, paying more for better value.
