Smoothie Blender, Fochea 500W Personal Blender with BPA-Free Travel Bottles (2 * 20 oz) for Smoothies, Ice and Frozen Fruit

I've been using this blender now for 3 months. Not quite daily, but fairly often. It works wonderfully and has held up very well. There are a few tips that I think are important.*You need a liquid. This is a personal blender, not a food processor. For best results, you need adequate liquids. I add at least a cup, usually coconut milk. Don't worry, if you use frozen fruits or veggies it will still be plenty thick and creamy.*I haven't tried ice cubes and won't. I use frozen fruits though with no problem. Frozen banana slices, even frozen strawberries. I used to cut them down but don't anymore and they are still handled just fine.*The lids seal great but remember that with great seals comes a lot of opportunity for stuff to get into and mold to form. I don't fault this bottle for that, its just a fact. Fruits and veggies can dry sticky. You can mitigate this and make your life easier and healthier by always rinsing or soaking if you can with hot water and soon as you are done.*The only downside is that the bottle is small. Again, not the product's fault as it was clearly advertised. 20 oz sounded like plenty for me, and it is for drinking, but not for blending. If you use a lot of leafy green veggies they take up a lot of room and you have to keep stopping after its chopped and you have room to add more. Or you have to chop first, and who wants to do that?Overall, its great. Motor has been great, plenty powerful, and effective. Fantastic find for the money. I'll keep it for non green smoothies, but am going to find something bigger as well.

The blender exploded on us the other day as my wife and I were using this to blend some already-mashed apples to get them to a better consistency. The mixture got all over the place and made a mess in our kitchen and family room. The motor in this blender thankfully only runs as long as you are holding down the button (unlike some others that use the button as an on/off switch), so my wife was able to let go of the blender to stop the blades immediately and prevent anything worse from happening.We've had a number of blenders before and never ran into an issue like this. With the ratings, we figured that this would be a fine, simple blender for a good deal, which is exactly what we wanted. The plastic appears to be more brittle than expected though and can lead to catastrophic failure -- in our case, after only two months of fairly light use. I do not recommend this product.Edit:We're raising our review from 1 star to 3 stars thanks to good customer service from the seller (Aidinas). After some troubleshooting, we suspect that the plastic may have been weakened from blending warm (not hot) substances. I am still surprised that this would be enough to cause the plastic to break, but we had made a number of cold smoothies with this before it broke and it worked great for those. I was happy to promptly have been offered a replacement or refund after our experience.

This thing has awesome power! I use frozen fruit and berries with juice and yogurt to make smoothies. It works so good I can fill it with mostly frozen fruit and it comes out so thick I have to eat it with a spoon like ice cream. It's great! And my daughter has her own bottle to use because it comes with two. They are very durable containers and like the rubber strip around them that saves your hand from the coldness.

Once! But long ago, I ordered the original "bullet". I was VERY satisfied. Look, anything that can survive MY family is tough. But eventually someone adopted it and now I have cancer. I'm still in pretty great shape, BUT.......no appetite. Grab yourself one of these, the motor is very strong and durable, and make whatever. Use all fruit and yogurt, with milk. Throw some pudding in there, make unending ice-cream shakes! We need those calories when we become uninterested in food. Clean up? You could do it in your sleep. Mine will out-live ME let's put it that way.

This is EXACTLY what I needed, it's small enough that it's a space saver, simple to use, a breeze to clean (you only need to clean the blades and cup - and after you use it all you do is throw some water and dish soap in it and mix with that for about 20-30 seconds or so and rinse). I can literally make a breakfast smoothie and have this puppy cleaned in about 5 mins. Strong enough to deal with normal sized ice-cubes with ease, not too loud and an all over winner. The only caveat would be only one speed setting which is fine for me, but may be a problem for others depending on what you want to use it for. Overall, I highly recommend it and would def buy it again myself!

I love this blender! Absolutely the best money I've spent on Amazon! Blends up my protein shakes with ice like it's nothing. Easy to use. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe.
