You need this.
This has been one of my greatest cycling acessory purchases ever. Great sound quality, have cycled with this many times in the rain and is still fully functioning, it's also sustained quite a few bumps and bruises. Another little add on that has come in handy quite a few times is that you can take calls with it! Get this speaker.

Great Little Speaker For the Price!
First off, I think this device deserves 4 and a half stars, but Amazon only allows whole stars in your review. So I will state at the outset of this review that I am actually rating it at 4.5 Stars but I feel the product is worth rounding UP rather than down. Hence the 5 star rating and not 4 stars.I purchased this for bicycle rides since I gave up wearing ear buds a while back because they cancel way too much ambient noise and I believe that when cycling, or hell, even jogging, you really need to hear more than what headphones or ear buds allow. So I snagged this speaker because a friend and fellow cyclist highly recommended it.First off, this is a good speaker and for the price and AMAZING speaker! I think that some people critical of this product may not be factoring the price point in and that is very unfortunate. Is this going to sound as awesome as that giant JBL Pulse 2 or Charge 2? Assuredly not. However, those speakers cost between 7 and 10 times what this little guy does! And how that is not part of the equation with some reviews is a little beyond me to be honest.I paid $23.48 for this on Amazon a little under 3 weeks ago, and that was a great price. You can now have this speaker for $18.50.I honestly think that if you want a very good sounding speaker that has a clip and will not break the bank, you need look no further.Remember, though, in the end you get what you pay for. And if you want something of higher quality then you will need to open your wallets up a little wider. A lot wider, actually, to be honest. The speaker is clear, has nice lows and highs, and is crisp and only distorts when you send a lot of signal into it, like most speakers.I ride with it on one of the straps of my knapsack, jutting up against my left shoulder, and have it oriented so that the buttons face inward so I can operate volume and pause easily enough while cycling, in most cases without even looking away from the road in front of me.The only thing I would kind of, sort of knock off a half a star for would be the clip, but here's the thing: I get why they did it this way! The clip is designed for people on the go, and in its favor, it holds tightly to whatever you are clipped onto. It has never ONCE come loose from my knapsack strap, nor my belt clip even when I am riding for hours and pedaling hard.So even that "half star" I might want to take off many of you might consider to be a bit suspect as well, also why I rounded it up to 5 stars rather than down. The problem with the clip, however, is it is hard to open to the point of being a little ridiculous. Again, though, the trade-off here is that it holds onto whatever you clip it to like an alligator to the leg of its last meal. But you have to really push hard to get it to open. I think that the clip could be improved, even if it means making a slightly more elaborate mechanism than "squeeze to open, let go to close."Maybe future upgrades to this product can include a clip that opens easily but has a lock mechanism that you can activate with a button press, a lever, or knob of some sort. In NO WAY should this dissuade anyone from buying it, however. Yes, it can be a tad inconvenient and arduous to open the clip, but I always get it done.Anyway, this is a great little speaker, especially for the price!___________________A word of caution and a tip of sorts! I was getting an intermittent and very annoying buzzing. It was driving me absolutely MAD as I thought the speakers were distorting. But then I noticed that it happened even at low volumes. Meanwhile, at other times, I had the speaker cranking and no buzz! It only seemed to happen sometimes, and the buzz was completely unpredictable.Today, while I was riding, I hear it again and the volume of the song was not even that loud. I put my hand on the speaker, while still pedaling, and it stopped. Then I felt around a little bit and I noticed that the little rubber cover that goes over the Micro-USB charging port was loose, and flapping around a bit and with my fingers on top of it, no buzz! So without even needing to stop my bicycle, I just kind of worked the rubber back into its proper place, making a seal, and the buzzing completely stopped. So obviously that was the problem, not the speaker distorting. So anyone getting an annoying buzz, just try making sure the rubber charging cover is seated into its hole and makes the proper seal.A word about battery life:I cannot properly review the battery just yet as my rides since buying the unit have all been four hours and under. Since the battery is rated for 6 hours, and I have no doubt that is accurate or even low-balled so Boombotix can be on the safe side, I can only say that I had no issue at all with battery life thus far.Oh and this speaker charges INSANELY fast! When I come back from my rides, my end-of-ride ritual is (even before turning the AC on) hook up all my cycling devices to power to charge. That includes my Garmin Edge 1000, my portable charger if I used it, my Heart Rate Sensor, phone, and any lights I may have used if I rode at night. This speaker charges up faster than ANYTHING I have in my cycling arsenal so far. lolI do promise to edit this review when I finally get around to testing out how long the battery actually lasts. I am not a fan of doing things like 4 hours one day and 4 the next, without recharging in between, because batteries discharge, however slowly, even when a device is not on or in use. So I don't want to give inaccurate results. However, it is noteworthy that J. Ott, also on Amazon, reviewed this speaker, and he says that the battery life is INSANE. I think he said after 20 hours of use he gave up trying to completely use up the charge. So there's that. When I do edit this review after a much longer ride, I will include the following information: How long the battery lasted for me before dying AND if I was able to charge it on the go with a portable charge. Also, I will try to determine if it plays while charging.
