MILTON S-745 1/4 FNPT AMT Style Coupler

Bought this (and some other Milton units) to standardize my workshop on a single quality connector. I had one out of box failure (leaked at the factory joint) out of about 25 units. Itwas promptly replaced by the seller free of charge, very pleased.I orders up various quantities of the S775 (ends of hoses or hose reels and tools with 1/4" NPT male), S776 (tools with 1/4" NPT female), S213 (5 piece set of the 75 & 76, plus the male A series ends you need for loose hoses), S745 (used to make a conversion hose so I can borrow a friends tools that use the M style connectors). All interconnect nicely, and seal beautifully. The real test is time and use, so maybe in 6 months after I drag them around the shop can comment on longevity.One thing that I found an improvement over the cheapo crap ones, I can snap a tool in one handed, without having to retract the collar to insert. Nice! Would highly recommend these to replace the cheap ones that are bought at your local import tool store which all leak and get sloppy very quickly.

Like others I wanted a solution to "M" and "T" air plug compatibility. AMT seemed to be the solution.I purchased three, one to use at the receiver tank air regulator and one for each air hose. Today I connected a pneumatic nail gun (T plug) to one of the new AMT connectors. Reached up to nail a board and the air hose blew off the tool. Reconnected the hose and it blew off again. Any movement of the air hose and the connector let go. I tried a different T plug, same results. I checked the other two AMT connectors with T plugs and they seemed to hold them, but I'm not going to risk a 150psi air hose coming loose and chasing me around the garage. I only use Milton air fittings, first time I had one fail.

Been selling pneumatic parts for 4 decades. Milton S-745 (female 1/4 pipe thread) and S-746 (male 1/4 pipe thread) are the most indestructible, Made in USA, precision device of its kind. Note that the knurled coupler outer sleeve is ready for easy snap-in of the male portion for these couplers - lost easier than others that look alike. Sure these cost a few bucks more than Made in China lookalikes but YOU WILL FORGET ABOUT THESE WHEN USING THEM because they have no failure or leaks- isn't that what you really want!!

This coupler is outstanding! I bought it to mate up with a Style T plug. It is also compatible with style A and M plugs, made in the USA and the coolest thing about it is how easy it is to insert and lock the plug end into place with one hand. You don't have to pull back on the outer ring like other couplers I have; you just push in the plug until the outer ring snaps forward into the locked position.

Product is fine, the seller, Beach Audio, sucks. Advertises the item as a TEN pack. It is not.We got a refund, but the description is still up.In meantime we did not complete our project and wasted over an hour dealing with the issue..The actual item, Milton 745, is one of the better ones out there. We use a lot of them and they do last twice as long or longer than imports.

I went to the hardware store to buy a new adapter for inflating tires. There are three different kinds of plugs! And none of them is the kind my compressor came with. Now I have this coupler installed on the compressor, and it accepts all plugs very nicely.
