Diehl24 hr Spa Timer, SPST 120V, 4-Term Orange Panel Mount TA4071

Our outdoor landscape lighting transformer started acting up when turning our lights on and off. When I looked into replacing it I found a new one was going to be $800.00. I decided to take the unit apart and found that the only problem was the timer. Even though the transformer was almost 20 years old it used this exact same timer. I purchased the timer and replaced the old one and hope to get another twenty years out of the unit.

Wanted a 7 day timer to replace a broken one in my hot tub, but since I have every day cycle the same times, I bought this 24hr timer for less than half the cost.

I ordered first unit thinking, "great - a perfect replacement for an existing old unit that quit working". Got it, installed it (fit perfect), and unit it controls was just "ON" regardless of clock position/settings. As I rotated clock through full 24 hours, no switching on/off clicks heard.. Returned, ordered second unit and SAME failure - NO SWITCHING on and off (this time, I just rotated clock face and observed that the switch didn't actuate so didn't bother to install). Not sure if I dare order a THIRD time, although the return option keeps "working" (albeit a PITA).Edited 8/24/22- The THIRD unit ordered worked just fine, so if you order one of these, just make sure you spin the dial and confirm that the switch is actuating (ie audibly “clicking” up and down) before you go to the trouble of installing. Added two stars back to account for “working, but beware”…

Works Great! And most of all it does not make noise like the old one did. Very happy!

Replacement of existing.

Great well made product. I ended up buying the wrong one and didnt get around to returning it for about 6 months. No issues with the return the company took it back no problem.
