I needed a collapsible water bowl for my Rottie, after I left one behind in the park (don't know how that happened). When I opened the package after this one arrived, I laughed out loud after seeing it. I couldn't imagine a dog over 10 pounds actually using it. It looks tiny. I was sort of annoyed, as I did really need one. When I showed it to my dog, she practically split her side in stitches, laughing, cackling, rolling around on the floor on her back, slapping her knee with her paw, tears rolling down her face. She was like, "Wait.... hahahaha....That's ....hahahaha.....for ME...hahahaha?" For the price I really did consider returning it. But it held 1 cup of water so I figured I'd give it a whirl. Can't resist experimenting. So, she CAN use it. I just have to fill it up 3 times per water fountain when we are in the park. She likes to drink from every water fountain. Needless to say, I ordered a different kind but this one definitely has its charm.Update:My dog just underwent surgery for a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL aka ACL) and she's got to wear an "Elizabeth Collar" aka "cone", for 2 weeks at least. It gets in the way of her being able to drink water from her bowl at home. This little bowl is perfect. I can hold it up to her with cone in place and its easy for her to drink. I'm pretty sure the standard travel ones we've used in the past wouldn't have fit as nicely in the cone. Very helpful in this regard, though I did not even think of it when I purchased it.

The size was exactly what I was looking for. I have a medium sized service dog (31 lbs) and this fits in his vest perfectly. However, if it is not forced to collapse, it will not stay that way. Bowl pops open on its own and the smell once taken out of the packaging was VERY strong. Soaked it in warm soapy water for a while and tried washing it several times. Even after airing it out the rubbery/plastic odor is still potent. Not the best for a pup with such a strong sense of smell.

I ordered this product online only because I was already ordering something else. After reading the reviews of this one as well as others I decided to select this one, even though it was more expensive. I expected, based on what I had read, that the bowl would be slightly larger, but it's actually only about 1.5 cups just like most of the others. It also arrived in pink, despite the fact that I ordered blue. I'm not going to send it back for the wrong color but if I had seen it physically before purchase I would have selected another option.

A high quality product that would be best suited for small/medium dogs. The diameter is 4 1/2 inches in the collapsed position. The cardboard backer says the capacity is 2 cups but I believe this would be measured as filled to the brim. Comfortably it holds 1 to 1 1/2 cups.Our Golden Retriever is still getting used to it and will drink from it - she thinks it's a mini-frisbee, but we're working on that. I think it will be good on walks or at the park, but would not consider it a "travel bowl" due to size and that it's so easy to tip over. Having a dog who loves water, she'll tip ANYTHING over that isn't nailed down. It does fit easily onto a belt loop or into a tote bag. It shakes out and dries easily.Still giving it 5 stars because it's a high quality product. Just be aware of the size and capacity if you have a large dog.

I personally don't recommend these bowls to anyone, I sent mine back today. This company doesn't really tell you the real size. For the cost of these bowls they should be a lot bigger by the online picture they're bigger. These bowls are palm size they fit in the palm of your hand. They may have a replacement guarantee on them but it is still not worth the price for the size. I ordered a pink and a blue but got 2 pinks. These bowls isn't going to hold much of anything. Go elsewhere and find something of size and worth the money.

My family does a lot of traveling, usually by car, and Bailey, our Pit/Lab mix, always goes with us. We all five ride in the car (me, fiance, fiance's 3 kids) with Bailey usually squeezing her way between a child and the window. She's a great friend, so we love having her along, but sometimes it is difficult to have her on rides simply because of space and the fact that her supplies take up so much room. This bowl is perfect for our roadtrips. I can collapse it, attach it to a kid's backpack, and forget about it until we all stop to get a drink, eat, or take care of nature's call. We are able to use it for her food and water while we're out, and it's just great!Note: If you're dog likes to chew things up, this is a bowl that would easily be destroyed with the right amount of chewing, so I wouldn't let a dog play with it if they are the kind to tear things up.

I received my bowl just yesterday and I love it. I am especially excited about the carabiner, which I clipped right on my dog's leash, leaving my hands free for the leash and a water bowl. I was leery of the bowl because my dog is a little spoiled and I didn't know if he would drink out of it. No fears Chance took to it right away. The bowl holds two cups which for my dog was an ample amount. This product seems to be pretty durable and I think will last for a while. I am ordering a couple more to put in my car so that when we travel I will just be able to pull it out of my console and be good to go. I really like this product and would recommend for any pet owner.
