Perfect for RV ovens.
Perfect fit in the RV oven and does a great job distributing the heat and preventing the center burn with raw edges.

Genuine, high quality cordierite. Perfect for Breville Smart Oven.
I bought a ceramic baking stone a few years ago, thinner than this, worked ok in my 450 degree Breville toaster oven for making pizzas and baking loaves of bread, but I put it into my new wood fired (900 degree) pizza oven and it broke in half from thermal shock. That one was basic ceramic, not cordierite. Ordered this as a replacement, it is cordierite. Cordierite is what they make pottery kiln shelves from, it has very high heat tolerance, basic ceramic does not. This is much thicker, it has the logo cast into it (looks cool) and I tested it in the hot pizza oven making naan. Got up to about 800 degrees without issue. This is the real deal. Much thicker than the basic stones, if you have a Breville Smart Oven, this is the stone you want. If you're making pizza or baking a hearth loaf, let it heat up for at least 20 minutes after the oven reaches temp so the stone gets hot all the way through. With basic care, it should last forever. All of these baking stones are porous, anything you spill on them (sauce, cheese, grease, oil etc) will burn on and stain them forever, so be careful.

Smoke!!!!
This stone is nice and thick. Unfortunately it will not stop smoking!!!!! It also smells terrible!!! I read other reviews saying that the smoking will abate, but I have tried several times and I think it is getting worse. I was hoping to contact the manufacturer before writing a bad review but I could not find any way to contact them. It is possible that maybe I received a defective product. Fortunately I have another stone but I want a second so I can make MORE Pizza, yum!!

Awesome deal! Sturdy! Big!!! Will save you $$ for keeping it in your oven
It’s the perfect size!!! I’ve always kept a stone on the bottom of my oven... it helps distribute heat throughout the oven... it acts as a catch for grease and other things while cooking, which will help the longevity of the oven. Most importantly the stone is already there when you want to quickly bake a pizza! What I love about this stone is the bang for your buck!!! It’s huge for the price.... and much thicker and sturdier then others on the market. Make sure to rinse it before using it.... burn it in the oven at 400 degrees for one hour before using it the first time. When cleaning it, no need for soap..... water and a simple scrub pad :-)Great for people with campers!!!

Dough sticks to this stone- what a mess
I have used this stone three times and each time it has turned into a disaster. I heated the stone before cooking my first pizza. First attempt, I used just a little flour and the dough cooked uneven and the entire pizza stuck to the stone. The second time I used cooking spray and the result was another disaster. Third time I tried using olive oil and I covered the stone to unsure the dough would not stick. BUT NO, another mess. The pizza stuck and I has to scrap for hours trying to get it clean again. What a terrible product!!!

Terrible smell and distribution of heat
I got this to replace my much-loved baking stone, and am SO disappointed! The stone is very thick, which sounds like a good thing, but prevents good heat distribution. My food is always too done on top and still raw on the bottom. And the stone emits a terrible caustic burning smell and smoke when it heats up. The smell is so strong, we usually end up needing to ventilate. I thought this might be normal for a first or second use, as it "seasons", but it still makes the smell well into several uses. I would not recommend this stone.

You must season and properly care for your pizza stone.
So I bought this because 1) I love pizza and can eat it all day, every day, and 2) because I have an RV stove, I was told a pizza stone would help to distribute the heat and not burn my food. With that being said, I initially used my pizza stone in my grill because, in the summertime, cooking in my kitchen heats up my house too much, so grilling is easier. It cooked my pizzas so well! I did make a pizza with a keto crust once and it just stuck to the pizza stone and made a giant mess, so I didn't do that again. Your pizza stone is like a cast iron, you have to properly take care of it and season it and eventually, nothing will stick. That comes with time. As far as heat distribution, it does nicely when your heat is evenly distributed. While having this stone in my RV stove does keep my food from burning at all, it still does cook faster in the middle and sometimes I have a burnt center if I leave it in there long enough. The heat doesn't distribute as evenly as I would like but otherwise, it was a good buy. I really don't have anything to compare it to. I do like my pizza stone and it does get used regularly so, it was worth the expense for me.
