White Astronaut Child Costume

My son was an astronaut last Halloween and wanted to be one again this year. I came to Amazon looking for the same costume but in a larger size. I came across this, and it looked nearly the same (logos in the same places, same black collar, same black straps and cuffs). The only visual difference was the number of zippers on the leg. This wasn't a big deal, so I went ahead and ordered it. Last year, my son wore a size small, which was true to fit. This year he's in-between medium and large. Just to be safe, I went with the large.First off, the material is terrible; extremely see-though. The one we had previously was a little transparent, but nowhere near as bad as this one. Next, all of the patches are screen printed - not nicely embroidered like other similar looking suits available online. It just looks cheap. Then my son tried it on. The waist at the belt was at least 2 inches too high. From the back, it looked more like a bra strap than a belt.I ended up getting a size medium from a different seller. The picture I posted shows the size small from last year, this item in size large, and then the other seller's size medium. You can notice a difference in belt location.I really wouldn't recommend buying this suit. For just a few dollars more you can one with nice embroidered patches, more detail on the leg, and - most notably - a belt in the correct position.

Pay attention to brand. This costume is Dream Weaver brand: As others have said, runs a little small and is certainly see through. Think parachute material and Halloween only use. The "patches" are printed on. I also ordered another brand (with the word air in it, spelled differently) here on Amazon, and that is a thicker more cottony blend material (like the MelissaNDoug costumes) which could actually be worn repeatedly for dress up play. That one had the patches sewn on. For $10 more, I like the other brand. The dream weavers one will do if you need the cheapest option but you get what you pay for in this case. It's like a real designer purse and a knock off.

Got this for my daughter for Halloween. She loved it, we loved it, everyone she ran into complimented her on it! Really gives that authentic look and is made out of material that is not that super cheap and easy to rip fabric that you see a lot. Even past Halloween, she loves using it just as a costume to play in. Awesome product!

Love love loved this astronaut outfit. It's been enough that it won't overheat my son. And it's thick enough that he can wear clothes underneath without it being visible through the other side. It has great detail in it. And the size was true to fit. My son is 7 and is an average size 8 youth boys. The suit I got was an 8-10. I believe it might be a little snug for someone who would be a size 10 youth. But for a size 8 or 9 it would be a perfect fit

This is the same price as the Orange costume I bought a couple year ago, but the material is very thin, it has fewer pockets, and instead of patches the logos are screen printed on. Overall it is fine, but shop carefully, because other versions are actually much much better.

My 4 year old daughter looked fantastic and got lots of Halloween compliments. She even wore the hat the entire Trick or Treating experience.

Ordered it for my eight year old's school project. It came on time and as described. It is a very lightweight material so everyday dress-up probably isn't practical but we only needed it for a day. The only complaint I have is, my son is small for his age and can still fit size 6 shorts, this costume fits him perfectly but is a little small in the groin area. I would recommend ordering up a size.
