better than roller
Works great as long as you have a large cutting board. It is much cleaner and quicker than a roller cutter. Never have liked the roller type and stumbled onto this large curved knife. Works for me.

Storage Idea
Great pizza rocker. Suggest an Ace Martial Arts Supply Single Sword Display Stand, slightly modified to go with it as a holder. Before assembling the holder, tape the vertical pieces together, wrap and vise them, and cut a 1 inch slot inside the holder ends with a miter saw. Sand the slots to fit and use a black marker to clean them up.

Now that's a knife!
I bought this knife some time ago to do exactly what it is that a tool of this nature is used for. It works as advertized, but as another reviewer has already noted, it takes some honing for it to work the way that it should. After about 15 minutes of working it with the honing steel, it was ready to go. Despite much use, I have not had to resharpen the blade. Its noteworthy that this has the potential to be a very dangerous tool. I don't recall seeing any sort of sheath available for this knife at the time I purchased it, but if one can be found before or with your purchase, I would highly recommend it. The knife is really too large for most modern kitchen drawers, and the hanger holes are not in the best location on the blade to hang your knife in a pantry or other location out-of-the-way. I made a home-made sheath out of cardboard and elastic and stash it inside my cabinet beside the pots and pans. This is a great tool, and an absolute must if you like to make large homemade pizzas, but perhaps a sheath should come with (or an aftermarket version easily matched to) this knife.

Love it!!!!
Every time I make a pizza, I'm just excited I get to use this knife. It makes quick work of it and I'm no longer chasing the pizza across the counter trying to push a metal wheel though it. Pizza stays in place and everything is chopped. Great if you like cutting squares too and if the pizza is thick. Goes right through. Clean up is easy and I just rinse it right after each use as it just takes a second. I haven't run it throughout the dishwasher and won't. I have noticed at Pizza Hut, they use nearly an identical one to this. Definitely professional grade here. The knife is big but, who cares, it chops across any frozen pizza I've ever bought! I've had it for over a year now with multiply uses.Tip: When up you first get it you may need to file down the edge of the blade a bit as there is a bit of a curl on it. I used my metal file and it took just a minute. Not a big deal.

No blade guard included- how are we to store this without?
Decent quaity blade. Comes reasonably honed for its purpose. I like this a lot. I have absolutely no idea how they decided not to include some type of blade guard for this- thats insane and thus 3 stars. This is literally the largest blade in our very well stocked kitchen. Its difficult to even fit into a drawer- and because it has no blade guard I mow have to decide if I will return or or attempt making one.Silly- one hopes made in USA products provide value beyond american workers being paid- I was rather hoping someone would also have spent 1 second thinking about how to store this massive, rather heavy, sharp object. Perhaps I shall throw it at the wall and leave it there-

Well Designed Made in the USA quality
This is a great tool. It's made in the USA so it won't rust like Chinese stainless does. Well made with molded-on plastic handles. Amazon had the wrong picture up, the picture is correct now. It's made of 1/16" brushed steel, very sturdy. The edge is coarsely ground but sharp enough to cut pizza. Can easily be honed to very sharp, be careful.Nonna's Italian Pizza SauceHunts tomato sauceonionextra virgin olive oilsaltpeppersaute a diced onion in a few tbsp olive oil and salt until clear and softadd tomato sauce, a little more olive oil, pepper, salt to tastesimmer uncovered for 30 minutes (or longer if you prefer a dryer sauce)This is my grandmother's recipe. This is the basic sauce to which you can add things like mushrooms, sausage, herbs, etc. or it's great plain. It also works with canned or fresh tomatoes. It can be frozen in serving size containers for months.

A GREAT knife for pizza.
I saw a similar knife used in a pizza place. Had to get one instead of the wheel I used to have, which dragged pizza cheese and toppings and made a mess as it cut.I thought it would be so good that I bought 4 of them, one for myself and each of my adult children.I only gave 4 stars because when it arrived because the blade was dull. But, I took my knife sharpening stone, and put an edge to it.It has been about 6 months since sharpening it, and many many pizzas, and it is holding its sharp edge nicely. My kids love theirs also. (Of course I sharpened each of theirs before gifting them.)

Don't srew around with anything else. This is what you want!!!
Ok, this thing is heavy duty and is VERY sharp. I'm glad we spent the extra money. We saw that others were flimsy, but I can tell you this is HEAVY DUTY and worth it. It sliced RIGHT THROUGH the pizzas we made like they weren't even there. Perfect cuts. This thing is Pizza Shop quality (industrial) stuff. We're very pleased with this and don't think we'll have to buy another ever. Oh and EASY clean up. Heck, we only got the tip of the blade dirty....lol. Don't waste your money on anything else. I've read of folks going through many cutters before finding something like this. Spend the little bit extra now to get this. If you buy anything else, you'll just end up buying this one later down the road when you aren't happy with the others.
