My grandson loved it

My grandson and I were leaving for our Road Scholar trip to Friday Harbor to learn about orcas and I had the book sent to him so he could read it ahead of our trip. The story was based on a real orca that we learned about on our adventure. It’s a wonderful book and I highly recommend it.

"Granny's Clan" was a gift for my 4-year old nephew who is fascinated by all creatures, sea or otherwise! I am encouraging his sense of ecology and also subscribe to "Ranger Rick" for him."Granny's Clan" is so appropriate since he lives in the Pacific NW and there are orcas all around. It's a good story and he was quite fascinated with the whole concept that there is a 100-year old orca who lives here and that someone wrote a story about her.Definitely recommend for those kiddos!

I know the Ann Jones, the illustrator but didn't realize it until after I fell in love with this book. We live on Orcas Island so it is all very close to out hearts.

Can I give this book 6 starts? Absolutely adorable. And this is a non fiction book. Thanks to this book we have learned a few fact about our beloved orcas that we didn't know before. Now we know who Granny is and where she lives. A real character! Both my daughter enjoyed this book so much. Lovely illustrations too.

This is the first book my grandson has asked to be read repeatedly, as in a dozen reads the first evening and another half a dozen the next morning before he went back home. It is educational, but in the form of a story and the illustrations lovely.

A clever and informative book for kids of all ages. Our whole family learned from this book. It is a touching story with lovely illustrations. It makes a great gift alongside a stuffed animal orca.
