Q: Does this robe have any pockets? If yes, what are their dimensions, if no, what do you recommend using to carry around small items, like water, etc.

This robe does not have pockets. I purchased a sturdier belt, and a medieval pouch to hang off of it. I'm sure that you could find multiple types of pouches to hang off a rope belt that would still look good and carry whatever you need. Q: I'm gonna be wearing this often and don't have the $$$ to dry clean it regularly. Any tips for washing? Plan was to wash it cold and flat dry.

100% Cotton, use the washer and dryer. Follow the tag instructions.

place down straight on bed etc. front facing down. open and crawl up from bottom with arms up or assistance from friend if you have our shorts on.

It should fit. My chest is a 49 1/2 and there is lots of room, so it should fit you as well. The fabric looks thick but it is breathable. Temp is based on your level of comfort, not sure I could suggest that for you.
